Which team is most underrated right now (besides your own), and why?

Which player (besides one on your team) will surprise people the most next season, and how much of an impact will he have on this draft?

Which conference has the best division?

One through five, easily the Pacific division. No contest.

In terms of contenders, the Southeast Division. They are the only division with two legitimate contenders (Washington + Magic) in the same division (only one legit contender in the West - Utah).

Which team is most underrated right now (besides your own), and why?

Probably yours, the Bulls. Not being given enough credit ... offensively, defensively or on the backboards. The starting lineup here is incredible.

The Magic are also being dismissed too readily. There is a justifiable lack of confidence in Vince Carter and some major concerns over Joe Johnson but this squad's incredible depth isn't getting the attention it deserves. They are light on top tier talent but their quality one through ten is incredible and they are very much a contender in the East.

Which player (besides one on your team) will surprise people the most next season, and how much of an impact will he have on this draft?

Hmm ... Jrue Holiday is set for a huge season. Steph Curry will be a top five PG next season. Kevin Love.

Brook Lopez is about to make a big jump but his reputation is already so far ahead of his game ... so that will just even itself out.

Cole Aldrich, NBA ready rookie. Should be able to make an immediate impact in the paint. Greg Monroe and Wesley Johnson are highly under-rated here too. Also, Ed Davis who figures to be a nice glue guy right away.

-I'd say that Pacific is the best division, with the southeast second

-As of right now I'd say the most underrated team is the Orlando Magic. I think people have been talking about them as a fringe contender, I've got them winning the East. They're real deep, and give a lot of looks. I am concerned with a bunch of the coaching decisions though.

I'd note that I like a lot of teams in the Southwest, but since they haven't had a presser I don't know how people feel about them.

-I think Derrick Favors is going to be more NBA ready than a lot expect. He's a monster athlete with a very skilled offensive game, and I think waaaaay too many people just immediately dismiss him as "a project." The Blazers have him on a super-young team, I think he helps them to a strong second half but they still miss the playoffs.

Thanks first for the props on my team..I'm hoping people will come around more when they can put a face to the opponents of the Bulls and see just how good they are.

Personally I think the top 5 pgs are CP3, Deron Williams, Rajon Rondo, Steve Nash, and Chauncey Billups. If you think Stephen Curry is going to be a top 5 PG, who does he pass? Billups I'm assuming?

Yep, Billups, he's already passed Billups in my eyes

Steve Nash is within striking distance too. Steph Curry is a better defender and rebounder than Nash + I don't think Curry would have the drop off offensively that Nash would have in other offensive systems. The difference isn't as large as it looks at first glance.

1.  I'd say the Pacific is the best division.  I also disagree with Who that there's only one contender in the West; I think both Phoenix and Sacramento are legit contenders, and Denver and Utah are as well.  That makes four.  The East is a more top-heavy conference, with as many as seven contenders, but it also has more weak teams.

2.  I think the most underrated team is Atlanta.  I see people having them projected to finish anywhere from 3rd to 5th in their division, which is crazy to me.  I'm a big Durant fan, and I like the supporting cast.  I have them 1st in the East.  (Conversely, I disagree with Who and StartOrien about Nashville.  I think they're a deep team with a lot of mismatched players.)

3.  Hmm...  I like Who's Jrue Holiday pick, and I'd remind people that he was a CrotoNat last season.  (Lots of underrated players on Sacramento this year, by the way).  Another guy I'm expecting a big season out of:  Brandan Wright.

WHo is better this season StartO, Cousins or Favors?

Also, we now see 3 people from the pacific like their own division. Anyone else want to weigh in?

I think the Southeast is strong, but so is the Pacific. I think the Central should get props for 3 very good teams, one of which I think should be considered a contender. Which one isn't important.

As far as underrated players not on Sacramento, who is your pick besides Holiday, Roy?

1) I'd probably go Pacific, also.  I can see 3, possibly 4 teams making the playoffs there.

2) Of the three divisions that have done pressers so far, I'd probably say Minnesota, Atlanta, and Detroit are being a bit underrated for various reasons.

3) I actually think Oden is finally gonna have a solid season.

My best guess is that the Favors/Cousins argument will end up very much like this year's ROY contest between Evans & Curry. We'll agree that Cousins had the better season, but Favors will end stronger.

If I was truly the coach of the team, it's not something I'd consider, but seeing as this is, for lack of a better team, a popularity contest I'd float it out there.

I don't know about that.  There seem to be some pretty formidable frontcourts in the West in this league.  I'm not sure there are too many playoff matchups out there that would work out favorably for you by plugging in Hedo for any extended minutes at the PF position.

It would have to be against a team whose opposing option was not going to take Hedo to the rack, or spend a ton of time banging in thepaint.
