You know what I like about Rondo he doenst care who you are Kobe Lebron etc...He feels that he is the best. He has the sense of pride in his self and thats why people want to be around him, heck you heard Kobe...I would love to play with Rajon..in a interview with Craig Saiger. His interview are straight up with no fluff. They ask him a question and he answers it without a smile but with an all serious answer. People say yea he's boring he not that good, he can't shoot, ok come lace'em up and guard him and let him guard you.... He is a great talent. I'm happy for him.

Kevin Durant is the torch bearer for the NBA. Russell, Magic, Bird, Jordan, KG, Duncan, Durant...

He has the rare combination of elite talent with a world class head on his shoulders. Down to earth kid who approaches the game with fire, class and character; those are the marks of the true superstar in the league.

You won't find "all" of those qualities in LeBron, Wade, Bosh, Kobe, Stoudemire, etc..

But you'll find them all in Durant.

At what point did Wade not conduct himself with fire, class or character?

Yea Wade is not a trouble maker and doesnt smell his self. Wade should be up their with KD. I think everyone has tied him to LBJ now he is a bad guy, I dont know.

Seems like Rondo is on the inside track to a starting spot on the team. They seem to like to pair him with Durant and Chandler, two guys we definitely look to be starters. I would expect that the coaches want to get the guys they plan to play together familiar with one another.

Lots of stupid allegations came out about Wade around the time his divorce was filed.  Lots of charges of drugs and promiscuity.  If people don't think Wade has high character, it's likely due to that.

On the court and in interviews, he's always seemed like a class act.

I hope he sinks his recruting hooks in Durant.   He would be nice to have on the C's if he can learn to play D.
Durant is not LeBron. He won't be leaving Oklahoma.

With the exception of Duncan, and maybe Magic. All the HOF's you mentioned were far from down to earth matter of fact most were ridiculously cocky or straight up Jerks. Having a nice personality doesn't make you more or less of a superstar. At the end of the day its all about skill, talent, and winning.

SHe slung a lot of mud his way during the lead up to the divorce and then retracted it all when she had to prove it during the divorce.

maybe durant can mentor rondo on how to shoot a basketball

Do you have to say something like this in every rondo thread? honestly just keep it to yourself, theres a personal vendetta or some weird thing going on... do u attack other celtics players in all there threads, bc they all have weaknesses.

The more I read about Durant, the more I love what he is about. He is obsessed with basketball and he really loves his teammates. I dont think he would ever leave but the team he plays for is not in great shape financially. IF something ever happened where they just couldnt sign players to compete, you would think Durant would want to move. Seems like we would have an inside track of sorts to sign him.

I think OKC's finances will be fine, especially considering that team is poised to get much better.  KD has been improving every year and they have a ton of young talent.  Westbrook was amazing at the end of last year.  Jeff Green still needs to make a jump, but he's solid and has great potential.  And Cole will be good for this team inside, I think he will develop into a Perk type.  Maybe not as good, but similar.  And they stockpile draft picks.

I wouldn't be surprised if he did cheat on his wife.  Turns out a lot of athletes do.  Not saying its a good thing, but like Barkley I don't need my athletes to be perfect role models.

Awesome about Rondo.  I've always admired Rondo's growing gift for the PG position and his "basketball IQ", but lately there has been a lot of praise and emphasis placed on this.  Seems like he is earning that much respect, he must have come far.  I am really happy to hear it, KD is more talented but with all Rondo's been through (Finals, playing with veterans like the Big Three) he has more knowledge of what these accomplishments take.

I think KD will be on his way to that eventually.  And of course you'd love to see them play together some day but I think KD has a dynasty set up with Westrbook as his PG (no slouch, great player) and Rondo will see through this last run and be the centerpiece of the Celtics.  Imagine a faster paced team with Rondo?  I can't wait, though of course I'm excited for our last run with "The Big Three"

Who doesn't cheat on their wife these days? I bet you the vast majority of all sports players cheat on their wives, and most of us would too, if we were making millions of dollars and were away from home more than half of the year.
It's just all behind closed doors, because their is a huge social stigma attached to it in the US. Look at the President of France, he's had a number of scandals and he is still loved by his people! If that happened in the US he would be impeached immediately.
