If he got waived I'd love him here. With Granger, George, Dunleavy and Jones already on the squad, whats the point?
Are Indiana planning on switching Danny Granger to the power forward position?

The Pacers played him a lot at the four last season and usually played better with him at that position than out on the wing (due to their flawed roster rather than Danny being better suited as a four).

Starters: Collison + George + Dunleavy + Granger + Hibbert
Rotation: Backup PG + Rush + Posey + Hansbrough + Foster

Was that part of the reason Granger seemed to regress last year?

Posey'll play PF for Indiana.  Classic O'bie 4.  They'll need him there, with Murphy gone and with Hansbrough apparently still suffering from vertigo.  Even if Granger plays some at the 4, they don't have an abundance of depth there.

not too sure if Posey can fit in well with playing pf...maybe sf, and granger as pf, but the other way around is kinda bad imo

Posey played at the 4 some for us.  If anything, he's gotten less quick over the past two years, so you'd think he'd be a better fit at the 4 now.  I know Granger is technically listed as 6'9" (and Pose at 6'8"), but I see Granger and I see a prototypical small forward.

Gotta believe MIA will make a run at Posey if (when) he is bought out. Versatile, well liked and able to contribute even at his age.

Celtics will likely inquire about Posey for their final roster spot, too. Good fit there as well.

Now, one intriguing deal, now that Indiana is thick at the 3 spot but thin at the 4, would be Baby/Scal for Posey and Rush, if Indiana would do it.

Solid.  Love it.

sounds good...love it

but not too sure about the rush and baby comparison?

lets forget posey for a moment, would you guys trade for rush with baby?

I'd be p---ed if Miami got Posey for the vet min and I would not be surprised at seeing that at all.  I definitely would take Posey back as the vet min.

I'm really quite indifferent about Posey.  If we pick him up, fine, he might help.  If Miami gets him, fine, when he's playing either LeBron or Bosh won't be on the court.  I'm not worried about him stopping KG or Pierce.  Only hit 33% of his long-balls last year.

He kind of reminds me of Matt Barnes, now.  Tweener with a reputation that exceeds his skills.  Can play some minutes without seeming to make much of a difference either way.

Doesn't Miami already have 15 guys on their roster? I thought they had to cut someone to sign House.
DKC:  Rockets
CB Draft: Memphis Grizz
Players: Klay Thompson, Jabari Parker, Aaron Gordon
Next 3 picks: 4.14, 4.15, 4.19

Had to do a little hw on Rush since we don't see many Pacers games in Bangor, Maine :)  A 6'6" guard is never a bad thing, but what about his defense?  Can he play the 3?

When Perk comes back, we have 5 legit PF-C guys.  I would trade Baby for a need in a heartbeat.

Posey is really quite bad now. He's just a contract, maybe a couple minutes here or there. If Boston traded for him they'd have to get another valuable chip in return, as at this point taking Posey's contract away is the favor; you have to give him with an asset to get teams to take him.

I wouldn't trade anyone on the team for Posey under his current contract. But, although it probably is a pipe dream, would you say no to Posey for the veteran minimum after he obtains a buyout from Indiana?

Your Baby/Scal for Rush/Posey is intriguing though, although I'm not sure Rush will fulfill our expectations enough so that Posey's terrible contract would be worth it to swallow.

Let's be clear:  Posey is better than Daniels, so he would be an upgrade for us.  If Posey gets waived, I'd love to make a run at him for the vet min.

actually that wouldn't be too bad, at first i was worried about age, then found out that Rush was drafted in 2008...

his stats are not all that impressive while playing 30 mpg compare to bbd when KG was out

If he gets bought out he would immediately become the best guy available for the minimum.
Philly:

Anderson Varejao    Tiago Splitter    Matt Bonner
David West    Kenyon Martin    Brad Miller
Andre Iguodala    Josh Childress    Marquis Daniels
Dwyane Wade    Leandro Barbosa
Kirk Hinrich    Toney Douglas   + the legendary Kevin McHale

  • You ain't the boss of the freakin' bedclothes.
Glen Davis is currently suffering what we in the business call "over exposure".

First he was the guy we all liked best..now he's easily replaceable. Opinion is a fickle thing indeed.

I agree with the second part, but I'm not so sure Posey is better than a healthy Daniels at this point in his career.  But adding him for the vet min would increase our versatility tremendously, and he's probably the best guy we could get for the min at this point.  He still has to get bought out first, though.

Never liked Baby.  That Shrek and Donkey thing is wack.  I like my players to be entertaining, yes, but not breaking their hands in drunken fights with their best friends!  I can't envision Baby as a leader when the Big Three retires.
