Riah made a pick and it wasn't Budinger...But anyways...

With the 29th pick in the 7th round

The Atlanta Hawks select Ryan Gomes
Riah also had the 22nd pick on the board, that was the selection he made.

... which brings us to another point:

As a courtesy to your fellow GMs, when making a pick, please announce the round and selection slot you're making.  (i.e., the 10th pick of the 7th round).  It will help avoid confusion like this in the future, and it helps the Commish with the draft board.

Now that it's 4:50 is my pick of Chris Duhon ok?
You were fine to pick once Kwit made his selection, so its good.

action781 jumped the gun because Riah had two 7th round picks and made his first late. The Hawks pick is the only one effected in the end, changed to Ryan Gomes.

Cool, sorry to be a nudge, just this sfternoon's excitement left me without a pg. ;D

I felt having Murphy off the bench was a bit of a luxury. If Butler can exist in Dallas as a SG, I figure he might be OK on my squad.

That said, I'll field offers for him.

Let's get cracking on coaches, folks.  The intent here wasn't for people to sit on their picks for 24+ hours.

I guess ChampKind was having internet problems at work today. Hopefully he sees it's his turn tonight at home.

I'm ready right after he picks...

  • I left Indiana. Because it was horrible.
I don't really care about coaches. My last two were fictional characters, and while it is tempting to go with a cartoon bear for a third straight year, it looks like I actually may be judged on this. So, f it, I'm taking a guy who knows how to get the most out of 3-pt shooters, me-first gunners, and big white centers. He can also milk the hell out of a home court advantage, which is why the Magic will be moving to Memorial Gym this season.

Welcome aboard, coach. May your lack of a sense of humor and willingness to mix it up with Joakim Noah carry over into the bigs.

My bad on being late with the pick. Internet was down at work most of the day and I missed some of the messages letting me know I was up. At least you can all relax with the knowledge that I didn't take your guy.
CB Draft Bucks: Chris Paul, Dwight Howard, Tobias Harris, Zach LaVine, Aaron Afflalo, Jeff Green, Donatas Motiejunas, Jarrett Jack, Frank Kaminsky, Lance Stephenson, JaVale McGee, Shane Larkin, Nick Young

DKC Bucks. Also terrible.

The new "coaches rule":

Once a GM goes "on the clock" for their coaching selection, their coaches pick is due at the same time their next pick is.  If they miss their selection, they will be skipped.

We'll use a little discretion on this one, especially if there's a really tight turnaround.  However, people should know who their coaching options are, and who they want to take.

(The coaches thing is pretty casual, but we also want to make sure that all 30 GMs have their pick in by Friday.)

HOU trades Troy Murphy and Mike Conley
CLE trades Caron Butler

My reasoning for this trade follows...

I don not think Caron and Monta can play well together and I think Conley can play the 1 spot and Monta can play the 2. I also wanted Murphy for the reounds and his double doudle.
