To wrap up Round 7 of the draft, the Commissioner's Office is forced to make another selection for the Sacramento Kings.

With the 2nd pick in the 7th round, the Kings select Eric Dampier.

C: Dampier / Bargnani
PF: Boozer
SF: Lewis / Jefferson
SG: Garcia
PG: Rose

I wanted Dampier but i rather have Brad miller over him.
Once a CrotorNat always a CROTORNAT  2 times CB draft Champion 2009-2012

Nice to be back!

No way should Sloan had fallen to 12.
I figured he'd go top 3 at worst.

I wouldn't have had him top three, but definitely near the top.
I considered him but I have no desire to see my team run a modified flex. Brooks team plays great defense and runs, that's what I wanted.
DKC:  Rockets
CB Draft: Memphis Grizz
Players: Klay Thompson, Jabari Parker, Aaron Gordon
Next 3 picks: 4.14, 4.15, 4.19

I was just looking over some of the other teams in the SouthEast Division and let me say, I'm impressed. SouthEast Division representing with some great teams even though most of us started the lottery off in the late part of the 1st round.

Congrats fellow SouthEast GMs. Great jobs all around....

If anybody would like to take over a team at this late stage in the game, the Sacramento Kings are once again available.  Their GM PM'd us this afternoon and stepped down.

The team:

C: Dampier / Bargnani
PF: Boozer
SF: Lewis / Jefferson
SG: Garcia
PG: Rose

I'll be the first to participate in a Roy H. encore.

No way am I taking over the Sacramento Edmund Fitzgeralds.  ;) I think their next draft pick is in the 10th round.

Absolutely.  Or at least to compete.  Now, let me have my Alternate Universe Sacramento Kings where the Parker / Rose trade doesn't happen, and I'll put that team against anybody's.   8)

Sloan was the guy i looked at along with Larry Brown... thought he might be too rigid with Arenas.

If i didn't have Gil, Sloan def. would have been the pick.

Well the Celtics happilly name Pat Riley as head coach....yes I'm aware he is currently a gm but thuink he might be back on the sidelines with the heat this year if they start to slip up.

This was Pat after we told him he had the job:

Interesting choice. The problem i have with your choice is every team Pat Riley has been successful with has had a superstar level talent packed with a team full of vets. Riley is a HOF coach no question, but he's a manager of egos, and that is one of his greatest abilities.

Ewing's Knicks. Wade and Shaq's Heat...Magic's Lakers...

Rondo's Bucks? Doesn't seem to fit the trend. Its your world though, and at least Rondo will respect Riley, which we've found out is a huge issue with the lil guy.

Personally I would've taken a younger more energetic coach that can connect with Rondo on a player level. A little general perhaps.

Regarding KC's choice...I would've taken him if he were there.

Well I think a bunch of trades might be missing off the board.

I know the one the Boxers and Celtics made yesterday isn't reflected.

The Boxers now own 12.9 and the Celtics own 8.26 and 10.26

I also see a bunch of teams haven't updated their rosters at the Rosters and Transactions thread. Tough to gauge who has who after trades if my fellow GMs aren't going there to update their rosters.
