We have a blockbuster:

SAC trades: Tony Parker, 5(2), 6(25), 9(2)

HOU trades: Derrick Rose and 13(17)

I love Derek Rose. But with the talent left here, I think this is a steal for Houston.

I like Ben Gordon as a main backup guard or as a starting point guard alongside a playmaking wing. Generally not as a starting shooting guard but there are some exceptions.

On that team alongside Wall + Big Al, I don't like Ben Gordon as a starter at the two spot. I think that backcourt will be vulnerable defensively and on the boards and with Big Al back there they are unlikely to have enough help defensively behind them.

Edit: Roy Hibbert is on the team too. I like it even less now. Roy Hibbert and Al Jefferson are going to be one of the slowest big man combinations in the league. There is no way they can provide adequate team defense to a vulnerable backcourt.

I know that some of you may think I gave up too much for Rose. Even though there's a lot of talent left on the board, Derrick Rose is a top 5 point guard (arguably top3) and a franchise player (which my team lacked). I have lower 5th and 6th round picks so I won't be left without a pick in those rounds, so it wasn't that hard for me to do this trade. Tony Parker is a great PG but he's definitely not a franchise player.
PHX Suns: Russell Westbrook, Chris Bosh, Tristan Thompson, Trevor Ariza, Tony Allen, Trey Lyles, Corey Brewer, Larry Nance Jr., Trey Burke, Troy Daniels, Joffrey Lauvergne, Justin Holiday, Mike Muscala, 14.6

Giving up a player of Rose's immediate and projected talent was extremely tough.

But given the competition in the Southwest, I felt I had to make the deal. Parker is still an excellent PG, and the picks will help me fill in the rest of my squad.

Both teams played hard.

I agree that Ben Gordon is very good. He looked bad last year because the Pistons had no good big men to speak of. The addition of their rookie will really help them this year.

He was the same player when he started.

as a starter, 21 points, 50% FG, 38% 3FG.

Thats absolutely inaccurate. He was a .410 from the 3 point stripe pre-pistons and .321 before. 21 points before, 14 after.

I think the Rose trade was fair for both.

Champkind is now on the board until 3:30 when I pick correct?
DKC:  Rockets
CB Draft: Memphis Grizz
Players: Klay Thompson, Jabari Parker, Aaron Gordon
Next 3 picks: 4.14, 4.15, 4.19

Derek Rose isn't that good yet, he has the potential to be but not yet. Not only that but he's developed some bad habits.

I don't think you should have given up three picks that could have helped your squad become a very deeply talented team for him.

He wasn't that good this past season but this draft is for the upcomming season in which I believe he will be that good.

That where Hibbert and his shot blocking comes in.

Plus, we do not know what kind of defender Wall is going to be.

Plus, when Gordon was on a team with size (Bulls the year before) his defense at SG was average.

Yes if by steal you mean Felonious Grand Theft Highway Robbery with Malice.

Fellow GMs... Is Lucky really even a Celtics fan?! I mean he lives in Portland...  ???

(just trying out some arguments against what's gonna be a redonkulous HOU team with all those picks).

I don't see it.

He's a PG who tries to play like LeBron. CP3 pulls that off, but I don't think Rose can.
