Jeez Lucky.  I dont see how J-Kidd and Rose will co-exhist.

Rose has been working on his 3 pointer all summer. I think he could shift to SG alongside Kidd.

It's the back court version of Chris Bosh and Anthony Randolph all over again.

I think that's going to be a bit of a tough sell.  Kidd is pretty good value here, though.

Kidd did guard mostly 2 guards last year, can rebound better than most 2 guards and is a 40+% shooter from three point land. He's going to be playing mostly combo guard this year with Dallas other young combo guard.

Jason Kidd is an above average defender + rebounder as a two guard. As is Derrick Rose against point guards. So no problems on that end of the floor.

Offensively, not ideal, but it will work well enough. Kidd played well alongside Rodrigue Beaubois last season in Dallas. Another scoring PG.

I think the team needed someone who will be a compulsive passer and look to involve his teammates at all times. Rose is still a fairly mediocre passer + Rose and Granger will be taking a huge portion of this team's touches and shot attempts (combined for 35 FGAs per game last season + turnovers + FTs + possessions where they didn't hoist a shot = very high usage players). Good to have a guy like Jason Kidd alongside them who will look to involve the rest of the team, particularly the big men, in order to keep everyone involved and happy (and playing defense).

Not an ideal fit but a good fit.

Note: #8 (Granger) + #10 (Rose) in FGAs per game last season.

There has been a trade:

HOU trades:  Jason Kidd, 6.23

MIL trades: 3.19, 6.12

Oh well, so much for Kidd and Rose.

Rondo and I had a deal in place from the get-go.

Surprised to see the responses on a Kidd-Rose backcourt.

While we wait for Champ at 3.18, I'll field offers for 3.19.

Again, happy to make a pick here, but if you want to move up, let me know.

I liked it, agreed with Who's comments --- and had Kidd higher than Baron Davis (who we've already covered);

I was quite surprised that some teams with young stars bypassed Kidd who is still one of the best PGs (since athleticism is not his defining skill) and arguably one of the 10 best PGs of all time .
