The Denver nuggets select Luol Deng

I think it's ironic coincidental funny that last year's co-GMs of the Magics have drafted PG, SF in the first two rounds.

Granger and Rose
Westbrook and Deng

Of course, GC has five picks to my two going into the next three rounds. Advantage, Nuggz.

as my good pal (and co-GM last year) Lucky17 mentioned, the Denver Nuggets hold the following picks for the rest of the week:

3.11, 3.30, 4.20, 5.1, 5.30

The Nuggets (as the Magics before them) are always willing to discuss deals for other teams to move up. As much as we're ECSTATIC to have added Luol Deng (a playoff-tested, 24 y.o. SF with a career 16/7/2 averages + a steal and 1/2 a block a game) we got an offer like a minute after we made our pick where we would have moved down.

PM us an offer, we always give out TPs for them.

Haters I have a solid core of Bosh Ellis and Caron. I feel with a few more pieces this is a very good team.

it is a nice core, but the draft is 13 rounds.... lots can still happen.  ;D

Exactly everyone thinks its over there. I still held onto 4th and 5th those are two very big rounds. I feel with 2 second rounders i can make up for the loss in the 7th round.

There's been a lot of trades involving the second round pick, you got the latest and gave up by far the most.

Yes still a rookie at this but.. I feel my 3 is as good as any team. I figure I can take the losses of 6 and 7 if I make up for them in either 4 or 5. I think having two picks in the 2nd round was huge in where you cant really find a decent 2 gurard right now. and i still have picks to play with. in the end i feel i did what was right for this team we needed a hard nose defender and we got him. Thank you that is all!

I agree with you. But I certainly recommend you take a look at the 2009 Houston Rockets to try and avoid my mistakes - real and perceived. I had a core of Bosh, Monta and Joe Johnson and didn't get out of the second round.

i.e., don't ask Anthony Randolph to be your starting center, especially when playing against Shaq. ;)

FYI commish, my draft picks on the main board aren't accurate.

As I see it, there are two ways to win this draft:  1) having a very deep team full of good to very good guys, or 2) having a team with decent depth, and elite talent.

The issue I see is that there are several teams that have very good talent that is slightly short of the elite level.  To get this talent, in some cases they've sacrificed depth.

I just don't think very good (but non-elite) talent can win without great depth.  There's a long way to go, and teams that look like they've sacrificed depth can remedy that, but it's something to keep in mind, especially for the newbies.

Randolph certainly didn't silence the doubters. (Monta also looks more and more like a two guard.) But WeMadeIt17 should also avoid spending a lot of energy debating the merits of Joe Johnson vs Michael Redd. Just say "Michael Redd hasn't even been cleared to pick up a basketball yet," or, "Michael Redd will be lucky to play in 20 games," and mark J.J down in the win column. :P

I guess I can at least say I lost to the champs.

Lol.  Marketing + favorable statistics + clever arguments (i.e., "We've planned for one of our wings missing significant time, and we have the depth to make up for it") go a long way.

But yeah...  I wouldn't suggest anybody make Michael Redd a centerpiece of their draft strategy this year.

Acting under the assumption that everyone's goal is to win the outright championship.
