With our Next Pick Milwaukee solidifies the Whitest and Most Dominant Front court in the League

Chris Kaman

Legit 7 footer who is quietly developing into a solid 20-10 guy.

This is a reach in my opinion. Kaman has a nice all-around game, but is also easily the worst defensive center drafted thus far. Despite being both a respectable rebounder and shot blocker.

I dunno, as a guy with NBA League Pass who is a big clipper fan  I think he is a solid defender and very good all around player stuck on a bad team for most of his career.  He is Durable, 28 years old 7 feet and a 20-10 guy.  I love picking him up at this point.

I don’t see it. If Monta is going to be painted as a player that puts up good numbers on bad teams, well Kaman has been doing the same for longer. The team’s other center had a much larger impact on the defense and the Clippers went from being mediocre back to awful when he was dealt. And I’m skeptical that averaging 66 games a season over seven years qualifies as durable.

He has been doing it longer because he has been in the league longer.  If you think Kaman is the reason the Clippers havent been good you havent been watching.  And after his season with 34gp he came back and played 76 and was an allstar
CB Draft LA Lakers: Lamarcus Aldridge, Carmelo Anthony,Jrue Holiday, Wes Matthews  6.11, 7.16, 8.14, 8.15, 9.16, 11.5, 11.16

OK, which one of you moderator knuckleheads locked the draft thread? ;)

(Unlocked now. We're running a well-oiled machine here.)
Thank Roy, I was confused.

I thought we had an early lockout on our hands and was awaiting the call from Billy King.

As for the latest draft action - I love the Ginobili pick. He's a proven winner, and still able to dominate any given game. He's a late first round talent.

Scola is another personal favorite - a gamer, hard-nosed, a plus defender with a nice post game. That said, this is clearly the highest he's even been or ever will be drafted. May have been a reach.

Happy to see there's still a few really good value picks on the board here as my pick is only 6 away (2.28).  If anybody's interested in it, I'm willing to trade down into the early 3rd if I can get some other picks upgraded.

No one prefers him over any of the other PGs who have already been drafted?

feel free to not answer this as i don't want you to give up too much info, but how do you expect to utilize the two together? Bosh is a beast in the post whereas Monta is at his best with the ball in his hands running up and down the court....do you give Monta the task of facilitating and running the team or take the ball out of his hands and put him at the 2?

  • I left Indiana. Because it was horrible.

He had a pretty rough 2009-2010, and was oft-injured for the worst team in the league...but he's got a ton of talent and was a 2009 all-star, putting up 21/7. Solid gamble on a gifted kid.
CB Draft Bucks: Chris Paul, Dwight Howard, Tobias Harris, Zach LaVine, Aaron Afflalo, Jeff Green, Donatas Motiejunas, Jarrett Jack, Frank Kaminsky, Lance Stephenson, JaVale McGee, Shane Larkin, Nick Young

DKC Bucks. Also terrible.

I feel Monta has never had an all star big where now he has one in Bosh. I do plan on running a lot with these two because they are both very capable. I think you will see my team solidify as I go through. I understand where you think it may not work but in the end it will. And in the half court Monta can drive and drop it off to Bosh. It will work it will!
