It's anticipated that all GMs will participate through the end of the draft, including the "press conference" threads and voting.

You have a co-GM, right?  I'd try seeing if he can make some of the picks you'll miss.  (If not, just send a list of players you want to another GM, and see if they'll pick for you.)

No, you and your Co-GM need to work out a proxy to pick for you if neither of you can be online. So find someone to help you out and send them a list of players ranked out for them.

When the commish picks for you, you lose your team pending an appeal. We want active owners, the times have been posted for quite a while as has the schedule.
