With the 25th pick, the Mavericks take a gamble and select: Allen Iverson I have no doubt in my mind that he's coming back.

  • Eagerly Awaiting the Next Fantasy Draft
We have another trade:

Lakers trade:(celticpride07) Josh Smith 9.21 (Gordon Hayward)
Wolves trade:(evantime24) Jeff Green, Marcus Thornton, Corey Maggette
Thoughts?

I think that Josh Smith is one of the best finishers in the game. Do people think that Amare would have put up the numbers he did without Nash? Well I think Josh Smith is a similar player that has never played with an elite pg. Now he is playing with the best.

I think you killed your backcourt depth.

I remain unconvinced that Beaubois is a starting SG in the league. And you now press a rookie into your rotation. You're also betting on Daniels.

Smith is indeed a talent, though. If his head is screwed on straight.

Your remaining draft picks will be key.
Beaubois is playing the 2 and will only play the one for short stints. Part of the reason we picked Quis is for his ball handling ability. When he was playing well to start the year for us he actually did a lot of the pg duties.

I think you did a good job of consolidating some talent. You still have Howard and Daniels to cover the wings.

As a nine-man rotation, it's pretty solid. I'm just not as bullish on Beaubois.
I appreciate your opinion because when presenting our teams at the end dealing with questions to your team is an important part.

I understand you're bearish on Beaubois but are you bullish enough on Thornton that keeping him would have made a difference to my overall team or you would have always thought I had questions at the two?

9th Round, Pick #24 - The Golden State Warriors select Al-Farouq Aminu

Another guy I feel like I screwed the pooch on because I literally know nothing about him.

He is a pretty solid defender, but can disappear on offense, is also quite long.
CB Draft LA Lakers: Lamarcus Aldridge, Carmelo Anthony,Jrue Holiday, Wes Matthews  6.11, 7.16, 8.14, 8.15, 9.16, 11.5, 11.16

This makes me like your team less. Negative. Draft value. AI still thinks that he is as good as Duncan

9th Round, Pick #24 - The Golden State Warriors select Al-Farouq Aminu

Another guy I feel like I screwed the pooch on because I literally know nothing about him.
Undersized power forward who is a disruptive defensive presence, a very good rebounder and is a matchup nightmare because of his quickness.

A lot of similarities to Andrei Kirilenko (less steals/blocks, more rebounds) as an undersized power forward.

Not a small forward -- at least not at this stage in his career and no time in the near future, he can defend and rebound that position though -- which is where the LA Clippers are going to play him (where he wants to play too) ... so he is going to be played out of position next season which will waste his ability. He'll be a shadow of what he is truly capable of next year (not because he's not ready, but because the organization that drafted him is incompetent).

Edit: I had Aminu pegged as my starting power forward when I took over the team but then Anthony Randolph fell into my lap. Very talented player.

I think this year AI is gonna realize that he has to put his ego aside and win a championship. Regardless, he is still one of the greatest players of his generation, and I think Stephen Jackson will get him to behave.

Wow, Sonics look much better!  Is Duhon a great passer?  I don't recall him being one, I think more of a shooter when I think of him.  I'd want a pg who can beat his man and pass if Amare is my PF.  It's been proven to work.  I don't see Duhon often enough to know for sure if he is or not.

No, I wasn't wild about Thornton, either.

I like this team a lot. If I were you I'd look into trading Blair & Stuckey/Duhon for an upgrade at PG & a pick.

I'd love this trade for Minnesota except Howard - who averages 62 games a year over his seven year career - is coming back from ACL surgery and both he and Beaubois will likely miss the start of the season. Then Daniels, their only back-up, constantly struggles with chronic injuries, averages 54 games a year over his seven year career and has played in 74 games exactly once.

So then you like the trade for me :-) because you didn't like my 2 spot before the trade either.
