Interesting reactions from these fans..Feel they will just out run us (like they did last year as they say), feel Big Z is better than either O'Neil, Feel that we still can't beat them. Say KG is a former shell of himself that can't play defense any longer...

Some of their fans are a little more smart in their opinions...

Quite funny actually....

They are getting cocky and just ignoring what bigs they have. They are also really overrating Bosh.

Doesn't matter how many big dudes you have, you can only play 2 at a time. And looking at the combos, I'm not impressed.

- KG/JO ............... Not scared of that, both lack lift and rebounding. I'll take Bosh/BigZ
- Big Baby/Shaq ..... Not scared of that, we can run circles around that and have more length
- KG/Perkins .......... Not scared of that, especially after Perkins' hobbling injury
- Big Baby/Perkins ... Again no matter what combo, I'll take Bosh/Haslem or Bosh/Z over them

Overall though, I can appreciate your enthusiasm for girth on your front line. But as we learned in 2007, Phoenix learned in 2008-09, and Cleveland learned in 2010 ... Shaq is 100% done as a positive difference-maker. In fact, he makes you a worse team when he's on the floor than if you'd just played a role player who defends a little better. That's why we didn't even try to make an offer for him -- no interest whatsoever in fact. Just look at his plus/minus last year compared to Big Z's and Varajao's, and look at what Phoenix did without him slugging around defending no one. We are licking our chops at running the pick-and-roll against him, as he hasn't even done a decent job at that since 2006.

That said, I have the utmost respect for the Celts, what they've done throughout history, and the gritty team they had this year. I was rooting hard for them to win the title, as were most of us. Good luck to you guys.

Them outrunning us didn't work out so well for them, so by all means continue.

Big Z couldn't hold either O'Neal's jock, let alone ever play on the same level as them.

KG completely shut down Beasley, Jameson, and Lewis. IN Boston, he shut down Gasol. His defense is still elite.

Let the bandwagoners who started following basketball July 8th talk all they want.

Miami throwing the mid level at Perk next year is as good as done.  The question is how many years is Danny willing to commit to Perk to keep him in green.

How did Phx learn that Shaq was done? He played well there. They just broke their offense with him.

Looks like we already have enemies over there, what's up with that one dudes sig:

After 18 months with their Bigs, the Littles were: 46% less likely to use illegal drugs, 27% less likely to use alcohol, 52% less likely to skip school, 37% less likely to skip a class

Perk won't be leaving for just the MLE.  If he goes, and I don't think he leaves as a FA if at all, it'll be for 8-10 mill per year which is out of Miami's MLE range.

I think we'd match a MLE size contract.

Perk's proven to all who watch that he's one of the premier defensive centers in the league.  Look at Brendan Haywood's contract as a starting point for Perk's next deal.  I'd be shocked if it's for less than $7M per, and not shocked if it's for more like $9M or $10M.

Perk's an above-average player at the most difficult position in the league to fill.  He ain't no MLE player.

jeez reading the heat forum made me feel better about our team lol.

Alot of those miami fans seem to have an ass-ton of respect for the celtics, and also seem very realistic in that boston could still beat miami..

Kudos Miami fans...

I'm impressed by alot of you guys. I think it's obviously gonna be Heat v Celtics in the ECF (unless seeding prevents that)

Either way its gonne be Celtics v Lakers or Heat v Lakers in the finals...

Good luck Miami, you got a lot of talent on your team but i think it's gonna take some time to build some chemistry, who knows tho.
Andy Bernard doesnt lose constests. He wins them, or he quits them because they're unfair.

Not much different from what I've been saying all week.

they can say what they want about Shaq, but big Z is even less mobile and less useful, and there is no way, I repeat, no way that big Z makes it through an entire season again in his career. He's lucky Shaq ate up his minutes last year or else he would have retired already with more foot problems.

Golly gee hey.

Just nobody mention Round 1 last year... wouldn't want to upset their confidence further.

Perhaps Miami and Orlando will match up in an epic 2nd round 7 game series. The winner has to go to Boston for the ECF.
The beatings will continue until morale improves
