After seeing their draft position, what do people think of the "modified snake" format?

I think it should help even things out, and will give the teams with lesser first rounders some real trade chips to build deep squads.

Count me among those that's interested to see how it plays out. Certainly it would seem there's less of a no-man's land on the draft board. I also wonder how having a pick at the end of the 1st is now going to compare to drafting mid-round.

Deja vu all over again.

Team in Southeast division gets first pick, three other teams in division have first picks in the 20's.

HAHA!!! Except this year there will be a lot of LeBron hate backlash and Atlanta will not win the Southeast in a cakewalk like Orlando did.

Right guys?

You with me guys....

Guys....

Hey where did they go??

What do you mean by modified snake?

high 1st -- low 2nd -- Low 3rd -- high 4th?

(Denver) -- Asked by reporters about NickAgenta's comments as he quickly hid the Coke he was sheepishly drinking outside the Pepsi Center, former Orlando Magics GM Gainesville Celtic just snickered.

"Cry me a river Nick. I mean NickA is a great GM, but tt's not like there was a love-fest for Lebron last year dude... but yeah it will be kind of odd hearing 'I'm taking my talents to Atlanta.' I mean have you been there? Every street is named Peachtree... Peachtree Lane, Peachtree Court, Peachtree Street. Sheesh and you thought driving around Boston was hard."

"We're happy to be in Denver. We're bringing back some Nuggz greats to serve as a draft braintrust: Alex English, Fat Lever, and Mahmoud Abdul-Rauf have all accepted roles as assistants-to-the-General Manager," said Gainevsille Celtic.

"As crazy as it will sound, we've already had advanced discussions with a GM about moving down with our pick, but are interested in talking to other GMs once the final draft order is settled and the final rules are released."

Mod conspiracy! Shenanigans!

CB Draft Bucks: Chris Paul, Dwight Howard, Tobias Harris, Zach LaVine, Aaron Afflalo, Jeff Green, Donatas Motiejunas, Jarrett Jack, Frank Kaminsky, Lance Stephenson, JaVale McGee, Shane Larkin, Nick Young

DKC Bucks. Also terrible.

I can't wait until Ip pulls the "My team is so underappreciated" card this year. Will be one of his finest performances. ;)

I like the second pick, takes the decision I had away.  ;D  Congrats IP.

Good luck everyone.

If anyone wants to move up for the 2nd pick I'm all ears.  I'm not against moving down.

I would suggest that anybody who hasn't participated before take a look at last year's draft board to get a sense of where first and second tiers stars went, how late starters were available, rookies, the rough value of a high third round pick, etc.

While the amount of red ink you'll see speaks to the high volume of trade activity.

(Memphis) Grizzlies GM, RebusRankin denied there were any plans to move the franchise from Memphis to Vancouver. "We have no plans to move the franchise. Frankly, my experience last year with Buffalo has taught me that moving a franchise and being on the opposite end of the country from your divisional rivals just isn't a good idea."
