Why didnt Houston keep him? Seems odd to me if he's any good they would have tried to keep him.

Sure he looked good in the youtube clip, but you could make TA look like Jordan too doing that.

Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.

He's fifth on the wing depth chart

1. Pierce
1A. Allen(God it's good to just put his last name without having to distinguish between Tony and Ray)
3. TBD
4. Daniels
5. Wafer

I don't think so, unless there's another trade made.  I think he's a solid 2nd on the off-guard depth chart.  Either they add a big and are done--or there's a trade and all bets are off.

Exactly, there is usually a reason why scrubs are scrubs, I guess we will have to wait and see what we got.

He wanted a 5-6 million dollar contract after his breakout gear with Houston and it starting job, but Houston thought otherwise and signed Tremor Ariza instead. Ho thought it was a slap in the face to be offered a small contract once again by houston and left them. Trust me he's playing for a contract year for us so he's going to explode.... Cant wait for the season to begin. ;D

While he looked fiery and athletic, I noticed he seemed a little self centered and more worried about dancing around or celebrating sometimes than getting back on D.

C'Mon guys atleast let him play a few games 1st before prejudging. He'll play great and be a longtime Celtic eventually taking over Ray Allens's spot as starter when he retires or decides coming off the bench will be his role for this team in the future...

Supposedly, his attitude stinks. Ya know, as someone who's not in the lockerroom you try not to judge players or go off of rumors, but at his age the number of teams he's been on - even playing and then getting waived by a team in Europe last year - pretty much lends to that belief that he has an ego problem.

I just hope Danny's not done and there's another move up his sleeve (still holding out hope for Fernandez or D. West and some type of trade with Sheed's deal). As currently contructed, we're a playoff team but not a championship team.

Exactly I mean the guy did get the vet min so I'm sure the C's are banking on him tearing up the league.

Sounds like a typical case of maturity issues.  Since maturity often rises with age, we could get very lucky.  If he plays some D, has a good attitude and meshes well on offense, he'll get the minutes when Ray is banged up or cold as ice....

I have trouble seeing another major wing signing unless they're planning on keeping Marquis D. on the bench a whole lot....Or unless they're collecting players with their eye on a particular kind of trade....

I'm wondering if the C's are going to try Nate and Wafer with Gaffney at SF some, to see what he can do defensively on people like Lebron.....Marquis will get plenty of run before that, but if he struggles with injuries or confidence...I think Gaffney will get a look. (no idea if he's got the tools to stay on the floor)

"he'll get the minutes when Ray is banged up or cold as ice...."

I mean in addition to normal backup minutes....
If he's mature enough, system-savvy, etc, he's simply more dynamic than Marquis D.

yeah, I agree.
painfully looking back at this playoffs, having good defenders kept us competitive, but points win.  I defended TA's play, but this is a better direction for our ballclub.  Let's hope the team buys into defense and this guy can get it done, because this roster doesn't look like it will have a lock-down wing defender too soon.  (avery?)

go knock down some big shots for us, VW.  Welcome to the C's.

How many people here know that Wafer was actually drafted by the lakers?  Probably not many.
