Von Wafer Mixtape

After watching him about a half dozen times with the Rockets, and now seeing what a tremendous athlete he is. And he can shoot?  I found myself thinking he should be even better. He must play zero defense.  At 6'5"  super fast, good handle, crazy hops, and a nice shot, it looks like he has it offensively. We shall see if his brains matches his physical tools.  Anyway hope he explodes onto the seen with us. Lord knows we cant play Ray 44 minutes per forever.

His offensive game is far from perfect. He's a black hole. He skipped practice in second grade the day they learned to pass. -.-
Practice? Whatchu talkin about practice?

He sounds a little like the 6-5 SG version of Nate Robinson. If so, and if he learns like Nate, we could have a solid bench chip.

He's fifth on the wing depth chart

1. Pierce
1A. Allen(God it's good to just put his last name without having to distinguish between Tony and Ray)
3. TBD
4. Daniels
5. Wafer

Its a perfect risk for the Celtics. The max talent for the min contract we will get. There's an 80% chance he does nothing, which is what the 12th man typically does anyway. There is a chance he realizes this is his "BIG CHANCE" and he actually gets his act together. No better place to do that than here.

Grade A talent.

Grade F head.

Our team can handle a head case and the upside with this guy is pretty high. A great fit as a shooter/scorer.

He has the physical tools to defend, but defense is desire, and if he doesn't have that, he simply won't play for us.

 Who is TBD???
To Be Determined

Right, but who?

While I certainly hope we can find a TBD, I don't think it's a given.  We could very well go into the season with

PP
Ray
Marquis
Wafer
Bradley

Doesn't it seem like in addition to some maturity he could also use one more name? Maybe Claus? Claus von Wafer. That could be all he needs to feel settled and start acting his age.

Pretty good signing, especially for the vet min.
Grab a few boards, keep the TO's under 14, close out on shooters and we'll win.

If he's anywhere close to as good as he was his last year in Houston he's a steal for vet min.

Yeah closer to 6'3 than 6'5.  He's a backup 2 maybe 3 with Ray in the game.
