In other Big Ten news today Robert Bolden wants to transfer from Penn State to an FBS school. That would make the second one of those in recent memory after Pat Devlin did it.  I don't think these kids are necessarily thinking this through. I don't think the NFL like quitters and Lebrons.

The NFL also doesnt like Second String college quarterbacks.  With the exception of matt cassell.  If these guys make that kind of move its not to quit its to play.
There are many many players that sat and waited their turn to play a year or so and were drafted.  Bolden had a tough freshmen year. It happens frequently. Does he really think playing for Grambling or something is going to help him prepare more for the NFL than playing at PSU?  Also if he doesn't think he can beat out McGloin then he has no business in the NFL anyway.  It would be one thing to go to another BCS type school, but running from competition isn't likely to help him.  I also have to wonder if he basically can't cut it at PSU academically.

Do you know what the QB situation there is?  Perhaps he sees the writing on the wall that he is not going to get to start next year.  If that's the case, then I think its a good move.
Actually yeah. They got a top recruit (Kevin Newsome) then got two more (Paul Jones and Robert Bolden).  Jones redshirted. Then a sophomore walk on beat them all out.

The initial word is Paterno isn't going to release him and maybe he shouldn't.  I mean why is he leaving? Better academics?  Nobody guaranteed him a starting spot.   What happened to hard work?

The guy should be thankful that they made him the first true freshman ever to start for PSU. Plus there's supposedly an open competition next year.

The kid just strikes me as a spoiled loser.

I don't think Official Cam Newton Day, or Mark Ingram Day for that matter is a good idea.

End of 1st quarter: score: 0-0.
I'm exhausted from watching Oregon run from sideline to sideline, and it looks like some of the big Auburn guys are as well.
Celtics fan for life.

I'll be more likely to support any politician that tries to force through a law to make em show these games when I'm awake

Good game absolutely hate Auburn and Cam Newton. I hate Auburn cause the fact that my buddy went to Iowa state and Gene recruited him and he turned his back on him. And I just really dont like Cam Newton. Well whatever! My FSU is going to be very good next year with what Jimbo is doing with them. Cant Wait till next season!

From every rumor I hear, there are two common themes:

1 Victoryland Casino lines of credit

2 Cam Newton is not the only one on the payroll.

Good for Auburn, at least for tonight.  I'm a Tennessee fan, but I enjoy SEC football in general, so it's fun to see the conference win its fifth straight national title against a very good Oregon team.
