Wow ... amazing catch by Adams ... just goes to show, you never give up on the play. Oregon in control, also.

Lane Kiffin said what? :o He takes Edited.  Profanity and masked profanity are against forum rules and may result in discipline.bagness to a whole new level. Telling Alshon Jeffrey then a recruit, playing for South Carolina now, he would end up pumping gas for a living. I'm glad Kiffin no longer coach's Tennessee. Scumbag!

Well I have to admit within the context of a corrupt system crewing the fans as hard as possible once again and sorta creating a paper champion this year was a ver interesting if not excellent year for college football.

Let's look at the highlights.

A team that lost to James Madison U goes to a BCS bowl

So does UConn

SMU goes to the CUSA championship game....but loses pretty bad

A very good and just championship game between a team that runs a fairly clean program and has been knocking on the doors for years (and would firmly get beat by BSU ust like last year and the year before) vs a team that got screwed a few years back.

A kid that throws stolen laptops out of windows and who's dad asked for $180K for him is highly likely to win the Heisman, because they found no evidence of wrong doing on his part....granted that assumes they looked.

A Boise St kicker is having a beer and a group therapy session with Scott Norwood and Bill Buckner somewhere.

Joe Paterno has decided to come back for another year of football bringing his total at PSU to....nobody really knows because he started there before writing was invented.

UMass to the Mac

TCU to the Big East and then the BCS championship

Villanova to the Big East

One more year that my grandkids will laugh at me and be like "So grandpa grandpa tell us again how you used to select national champions by voting like a popularity contest and relying on computers to justify your discrimination!"

And I still love college football way way way more than the sterile business of the NFL.

wow.
What a cruddy cruddy cruddy bowl lineup.

They have the #11 team in the country in the Las Vegas Bowl and UConn in the Fiesta Bowl.

College football just doesn't get it. They just don't get it.

I was thinking the same thing when I saw the matchups.  I'll watch the National Championship and the Rose Bowl.  I'll watch Nebraska play in the Holiday Bowl, although it's stupid that they have to play a team they killed earlier in the season.  I think that's going to be about it for me.

It's just that once you get past the championship game and maybe the game your team is in all you have is a bunch of meaningless matchups in corporate games.

It would be like if in college basketball they had the championship game and then the final four except those teams can't advance or do anything and then a whole bunch of other games for no reason with names like The Facebook.com Basketball matchup featuring Ole Miss and Northwestern......The Facebook.com Basketball Matchup used to be the Dominos Pizza Matchup and before that it was the Rinnai Heater Matchup and then before that in the mid 90s it was the Cactus Matchup because the game is in Arizona and usually features a mid tier SEC and Big Ten team......who cares? Who cares?

College football is a great sport.  And it is completely broken.

Lousy lineup ... I'll try to watch the Championship and Rose Bowl, after that maybe Fiesta, Sugar, Maaco, but not because I expect them to be competitive, (I hope we get some surprises ... maybe the Cotton or Kraft Fight Hunger Bowl).

Wow. We knew the BCS was corrupt. Now we know they're incompetent too. They really are starting to look like Congress.

Also if Ohio St thinks it's so important to not play the Little Sisters of the Poor I wonder why they didn't schedule Boise St instead of mighty Marshall, Ohio, and Eastern Michigan.  Most likely because they didn't have half the stones of Virginia Tech and knew Boise would knock em in the mouth causing them to lose their tooth.

Very Nice, he made it. Congrats to Kuechly, making the all american team as a sophomore.  Looking forward to watching him for the next two years

Awesome.  Its always great to see an Eagle make the All-American team.

He's an absoulute stud and will definitely be playing in the NFL in the near future.
