Question: if Boston loses a close low scoring game in Vancouver in game 7, does Thomas still win series MVP?

i was thinking that after Game 5

I'd say yes, since no Canuck has really stood out and clearly Thomas has had the most influence on the series.

The Conn Smythe goes to the Playoff MVP, rather than Finals MVP.  I'm not sure that that makes a huge difference, but it shifts the Sedins and Kessler back into the picture.

Oh whoops I guess we said the sameish thing.

Great minds...

Can we declare Game 7 Ray Bourque / Phil Esposito night?

How about Gerry Cheevers/Giles Gilbert/Reggie Lemilin/Byron Dafoe night and Thomas shuts out Vancouver and wins the Conn Smythe and the Cup?

  • What a Pub Should Be
Its remarkable (and kinda spooky) that nearly a year ago, Boston sports fans were in the same exact position; heading into a Game 7 of a championship series for all the marbles.

Obviously, all of us hope that things turn out differently than last year but the irony of the situation should be noted.

Those of us who are total Boston sports fans are very, very, very fortunate to find ourselves in situations like this on nearly an annual basis for the past decade.

Been telling my kids this for years!!

Has there ever been a decade of sports excellence spanning all 4 major American sports where one city has been so involved in championships? 4 Superbowls, 2 World series, 2 NBA Finals and a Stanley Cup in 10 years?? Not to mention the drama of the SBs, the 2003 and 2004 and 2008 ALCS, this Cup Finals, last years NBA Finals, and how many 7 game series in the playoffs??

We Boston fans are truly spoiled!!!!
