Thank God. Even this Erden guy will probably be better than Shelden.

His couple of playoff appearances weren't strong, but there was a time early in the season where we were talking about him beating out Baby as our 4th big.  So I wouldn't say he's a complete waste.

Good luck to him.

Good luck Sheldon.

Sheldon Williams sealed his fate in that 2 min stretch of finals that might go down as the worst in history.

I can't get too broken up about losing the 12th man on our roster.  I wish him well, though; Williams seemed like a good guy, and he contributed early in the season.

Do the Nuggets executives only have video footage of Shelden from his college days?  What on earth are they thinking?  Anyway, thanks Denver, for taking this lumbering, lazy, brick-fisted bust off our hands!  Maybe the high Rocky Mountain air will envigorate the thick mass of dead tissue between Shelden's ears so that his thinking process can rise to the level of a highly intelligent animal, for example an elephant, so that his reaction time can speed up to the point where he may finally be able to catch a basketball tossed to him at slow speed without drooling and dropping the ball and looking around with his eyes glazed over, and a dull "errrrrrrr" sound emitting from his gaping mouth.  I hope you Nuggets fans enjoy watching him get hit on the head by the ball dropping off the rim, and falling down out of bounds, and tossing outlet passes to the defender.  Good riddance, you bumbling, slobbering oaf!

That being said, I wish Shelden and his family the best of luck in the future!  Good luck and God bless!

Grab a few boards, keep the TO's under 14, close out on shooters and we'll win.

Don't know what the offer he got there was but I really though Shelden fit in well with this team and played well early on in the season

It feels/seems the only thing folks remember is his poor play in the finals.

I thought he'd be good Baby Insurance -- since i think BBD might want more money than he's worth next year.

Good luck shelden!

I totally agree about your assessment of Sheldon, but I'm also amongst those that will only remember him gift-wrapping the Lakers 6 points in game 1 (or was it game 2) of the Finals. Two terrible turnovers which led to 4 pts and a foul on somebody (Kobe?) 45 feet from the basket.

He was a totally different player in the playoffs, but I liked what he gave us in the regular season.

Best of luck Sheldon.
