I heard Barkley criticized the move but has anyone from the Nba really hammered Lebron with how he went about this? I just think he really needs to be punished bt his peers for how he did this. I would hope a guy like Kevin Mchale,a prety straight shooter would call him out. Then again, he's such a laid bacik guy.
I think it is almost the responsibility of players and ex players to give him hell. Lebron embararassed the whole league with this stunt.

Like you said Barkley did, I thought C-Webb spoke his mind freely last night. Boozer allegedly said Chicago was going to kick their ass, and even though Noah didn't get specific, he clearly wasn't impressed, I love that dude BTW.

CWebb criticized HOW Lebron did this?

I was flipping back and fourth, so I didn't hear everything he said, but i know he said IHO you can't put Lebron in the same sentence with Kobe or Jordan. He looked genuinely disgusted last night.

NBA.com has the interviews, even though they won't work for me right now.

Ya, see I don't care that he left. I am actually impressed that he does'nt NEED to be compared to other greats. He did NOTHING wrong leaving. It's HOW he did this. THAT is what should be criticized.

Yeah I'll enjoy Noah talking junk to them during the Miami games.

Reggie Miller blasted Lebron last night on NBA.tv...talked about how he stayed in a low market city for 18seasons.It was about being loyal more than anything with him.

It was odd Magic wasn't a part of that "Decision"forum last night.

More people have to speak up about how he screwed the city that made him who he was over. If he was going to South Beach from the beginning, and most felt he was and that the last minute decision talk was just lip service, then he owed it to Cleveland to have told them weeks ago so that they could have renounced him and gone after some talent to replace him.

Instead, he strung them along and strung them along knowing that unlike the other teams, they couldn't act on anything until they had a decision from him because without renouncing him, they had no cap space to move forward. Cleveland had nothing to go after other players with until they had a firm answer from LeBron. NY, NJ, Miami, Chicago, all had money available to go after other talent and still have money left for LeBron. Not Cleveland.

And it was the Cavs that bent over backwards to cater to his every whim. That put on one of the biggest payrolls around trading away picks and money just to land him the talent he was constantly asking for. And instead of showing a little respect for the city and the franchise and letting them know far earlier of his decision, he strung them out and ultimately screwed them.

Most of the good talent is gone and Cleveland's $9 million in cap space now means nothing. Lebron wrecked this franchise for at least one year simply because he couldn't show a little gratitude, respect and loyalty to the franchise that helped to turn him into a household name.

Well, a couple things here that I agree and disagree with. It's very possible, and I believe this to be the case, it was truly difficult for LeBron to leave "home". I don't know why people rip him for taking his time with his decision. It's a 5-6 year commitment in the prime of his career and we want him to snap to it? That's ridiculous.

He also didn't say a word to the media about it (unlike Bosh's tweets) until the ridiculous show last night. It was the media stringing fans, not LeBron. And who did the Cavs not get because LeBron didn't sign?

And it was in the Cavaliers' best interest to surround LeBron with talent. They couldn't and that's why LeBron left. It's that simple. They didn't try to surround LeBron with talent because he asked...they did it because it was in the best interest of the Cavs.

Now this is all dependent on when you believe that James made his decision. If you believe that it was weeks ago, then your POV is more reasonable. But reports indicate that he truly was indecisive about it. It's up to you on who you believe on that. I know that if it was me, it wouldn't have been easy to leave.

Yeah. Reg. That really worked out well for you. That whole one Finals game that you won in your life. This is the exact argument as to why LeBron left.

And Chris Webber is talking smack? This guy ended up having  one of the most disappointing careers for his talent in NBA history.

The Cavs did nothing to make Lebron a household name. His talent is at the level that he will be a big name no matter what his team does.

I agree that he should have not done the tacky program because it only added to the magnitude of the disappointment due to all the anticipation. What was completely ridiculous about what Lebron did is that it seemed he was stringing every team along. Did he inform teams when they were out of the running?

It is very possible that he was leaning toward the Miami move since Miami's draft night moves, but wasn't fully committed to the move and was not ready to close other options.

I kind of agree with you on Miller, but I have to disagree on C-Webb.

He didn't win a title, but should have been to at least 1 final, if not for the refs and Big Shot Bob. At one point he was one of if not the most dynamic big men in the game. He could post, shoot from the perimeter, rebound, pass, block an occasional shot. He wasn't a great defender, but that really wasn't what Sac was all about, Phoenix took their blueprint and ran with it.

For every report put out by his inner circle that this was a tough last minute decision(BTW it was this same group of inner circle people that set this fiasco up last night and sent out false indications of James going to NY, Miami and Chicago and staying in Cleveland over the days leading up to the telecast), there are just as many reports indicating meet ups and telephone calls with Bosh and Wade going back years ago that they decided this is what they were going to do.

Given that the reports about him going to Miami were true from the latter group and that the former group was purposely sending out misleading and false information to boost television ratings, I'll put my trust in the latter group and condemn the former group right along with Lebron.

As for who they could have gotten, how about Travis Outlaw or John Salmons to play SF next year for them? Perhaps they talk to Joe Johnson? Perhaps they move players to clear cap space to go after Amare? You never know.
