I do hope its Cleveland, but I would think Chicago would be awfully tempting.  That team with Lebron has dynasty written all over it.  But Cleveland is the right thing to do and I hope that's what happens.

My guess is he stays in Cleveland but does not max out the years on the contract -- leaving him able to produce the sequal 'Lebron II: The Next Decision' in 3 years.

Lebron the puppet master. Toying with people left & right

If only Lebron could play basketball as well as he plays the media, he'd have a ring by now.

Do you think there will be a lot of backlash after he announces on his special he is staying in Cleveland and everyone realizes they got played in a 3 year publicity stunt?

it is going to be cleveland. all of this is to make him even more loved when he picks the cavs. but as we all know...the cavs cannot win the east with the team they have now. no chance. LBJ would be going back to a team that will never win a title

I have a friend who is a Knicks fan and he's been a mental cripple all week. The Miami stuff just broke him last night.

I sent him the Bucher tweets to drive him a shade closer to madness.

One thing's for sure - the league has largely turned against Lebron the last couple of weeks.

I still think Chicago has a solid shot. I mean really, that team - even with Boozer instead of Bosh - would be a ridic team. And he can take the share of the credit win they win. It makes too much sense... Hmm... maybe that's why it won't happen...

I can't believe this circus will end in about two hours. Seems like going on forever. At least his perfect reputation took a hit.

I think he signs in cleveland for 3 years. gives him time to win a title or leave. then he can leave at only 28 and can use the line "well i tried to win in cleveland and I couldn't". this would allow him to not be hated in his hometown.

I'm not saying I think he'll go back to Cleveland...but there's just no way he's THAT big of a jerk to call a pressconference to say he's not going back to cleveland.

also saying now he will not announce his decision in the first 10-15 minutes....this is all for ratings. the heat story has been trumped up and floated to get people to watch tonight. he will stay in cleveland when it is all done

I thought the same thing initially, but this thing has turned into such a dog & pony show that I can't really grasp anything anymore.

I think this is the most rational scenario in my opinion.  However, remember we're dealing with a huge EGO here.  Lebron doesnt want to win a title bc he loves winning.  Lebron wants to start winning titles RIGHT NOW so he can have more than Kobe and Jordan when he retires, possibly get close to Russell.  He wants to do EVERYTHING possible so when he retires, he can be head and shoulders above the rest.  I think he'll go to the place that gives him the best shot at doing this, while still being THE MAN.  Thats why my guess is Chicago.  I think in Lebrons mind, if he accomplishes what I think he wants to accomplish, he can steal Chicago from Jordan.  Ludicrous to me, but we're talking about a guy with a huge EGO here.

See the trend.  He, I, ME ....No We, Us, or Them.  Sounds more like Lebron to me  :)
