Boris Diaw's a guy that could be had for Sheed, pretty easily, IMHO.
They've got Chandler, the non-tradable Diop and Mohammed locking up a bunch of money, Ajinca's still guaranteed, they just signed Ty Thomas to an 8 mil per contract, they like Derrick Brown and probably want to give him minutes and of course they have an all-star combo forward locked up long-term in Sheed.
They're also approaching the tax threshold with DJ Augustin as the only PG on the roster and no guard depth (or shooters) whatsoever.
Diaw's a rich man's Luke Walton at this point in his career. He's developed into a mediocre 3-pt shooter and a good mid-range shooter. His post-up game is very effective against 3s and he can beat 4s off the dribble or in transition.
Very poor rebounder at the 4 but solid at the 3. Not too bad defensively.
Nice fit with Rondo offensively, especially if surrounded by shooters. Both move the ball exceptionally well and pinpoint mismatches.
Could be a minutes eater during the regular season, keeping some wear and tear off of Pierce and KG.
Would add to the mass of expiring contracts coinciding with KG's expiration.
