when is the jermaine oneal signing going to be official and when is the press conference??

Check with ESPN, I think they might be putting on some sort of special... "the decision II". ;)
I believe Gandhi is the only person who knew about real democracy — not democracy as the right to go and buy what you want, but democracy as the responsibility to be accountable to everyone around you. Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.

I think the panic move would be to evaluate JO on 1 series against the 2nd best post defender in the league.

I agree so long as we are careful about his health. Don't want him to run out of gas like Sheed did.

This is enormous. He suffered an injury just before the series with us and didn't look like he had for the 70 regular season games that he played. We're gonna have to rely on another center, Baby, and/or Semih to play center for about 23 minutes a night because I don't really want Jermaine to get much over 25 a game.

We are in DEEP trouble if we're relying on Erden to play any minutes at the 5. He's awful.

Could easily see Perk leaving after this season. MIA would be a place willing to give him the MLE, especially if they get chewed up by ORL in the post season. Crunch time 5 of Perk, Bosh, M. Miller, Wade, and LJ.

Can't see the Celts loving the idea of an MLE contract for 3 or 4 years.

Perk will get at least $8M/year.  C's would happily match a MLE type contract.  Look around the league at what starting or decent backup centers get.  For example, Gortat, who plays about half the minutes as Perk, got the full MLE.

The Cs can keep Perk if they want to keep him.  The only way they lose him is if some team with cap space signs him to a huge front loaded contract that the Cs don't want to match.  Miami won't be able to do that.
Celtics fan for life.
