It's a bi-annual exception (we get it every two years) and we invested it in Marquis Daniels last year.Bleh - OK retain Scalabrine due to Larry Bird rights - We need as much big man help as we can get and they are very expensive - 20 million over 4 years for Darko Milicic - are you serious??

Sign a LLE.
Is it respectful to ignore a moderator?Asking nicely apparently to get on topic is secondary to last-word-itis, get back to talking about Paul's contract.
This topic used to be about Pall Peirce!

It's about the relative improvement in the chance of winning a title in year 1 of the deal versus the huge lag time it induces in the rebuilding process, which risks alienating Rondo.Has anyone considered the possibility that blowing the team up is the move most likely to alienate Rondo?

If Rondo is alienated over our signing Pierce then Rondo would be the one with a problem. Pierce played for a hell of a lot of crappy Celtics teams in his tenure. Rondo already has a ring. I don't think he has any room to complain about how the celtics have been run since he's been on the team.If he does, and let me make it clear I think your projecting a problem that doesn't exist, he knows where the door is.
I haven't read the entire thread, but has the 4th year option been confirmed? Where did the mutual options thing come from?
