That'd be interesting and somewhat makes sense for them (though more at the deadline). If they keep Williams, they won't have cap room next offseason (whenever that is) to sign someone else to go with Joe Johnson, thus dooming them to 2nd round playoff exits (or worse) for the foreseeable future. Dumping Williams would potentially put them under a cap (depending on the CBA) down the road, thus giving them at least an outside shot of adding another star in a year or two.
