See, I hope Dirk doesn't bolt Dallas. I love the Dirk/Cuban combo in Dallas. It's a feel-good story in a league where 'I just have to remember that its a business first' has replaced the phrase 'go team!'

It could turn into a feel-bad story real quick if they never got the ring and Dirk's golden locks turn grey.

How bout Dirk telling Cuban he's leaving and Cuban resorts to a little sign and trade action for Garnett? Then we can get Pierce back. I feel as if Nowitzki's skillset will translate into a couple more highly productive seasons. Eh, Cubes would never admit defeat.

Does Miami with Wade and Bosh and a bunch of scrubs really scare anyone?

I bring this up because if you are Lebron you have to look at what other teams are doing.  The only team that would scare me, as Lebron, is the Magic.  If that is the case I can easily see him staying in Cleveland and going down as "THE" Ohio legend, especially if he wins a title for Cleveland, which hasn't won a title in anything since 1964 when Jim Brown was still playing football.  Cleveland with Lebron next year would be favored over the Heat in a playoff series (and the Bulls, and the aging Celtics).  The only team that would pose problems is Orlando and Carter is getting older, they are going to lose Barnes, etc.

I really think Lebron stays in Cleveland especially after Cleveland swings a trade to get rid of West and Williams (though it probably costs them Hickson).

Who's running the point?  Who's their center?

I feel a lot better about matching up against Wade and Bosh in Miami, versus a LeBron/Rose/Bosh/Noah/Deng combination in Chicago.
Well, they can get another max guy by trading Beasley, and they play with one of the old FA centers and a below average PG (since their wing men will likely be running the offense a lot).

Jason Williams and Gary Payton were both below average starting PGs last time they won it all. Fisher is a way below average starting PG.

What's their bench gonna look like, though?  Even trading Beasley, I'd still be concerned about that team's depth.

Regardless, I think we'd have to see how MIA fills out the remainder of that roster before handing them the crown.  And I certainly wouldn't do it if Chicago lands Lebron and change.

If there wasn't a new CBA coming up I'd say that there would be tons of players that would be willing to go to Miami cheap for a year and then hope for a bigger pay check the next year, but with the new CBA that changes everything.  There still would be players to go there cheap though for a chance at a ring.

Wade, Bosh, and LeBron would be like our three ten years earlier. imagine if we had Pierce, Ray and KG earlier? Oh my god, we would have blew the chance for title #23 this year instead of 18 lol Miami could be very scary

Realistically, though, what would we be looking at here?  Past their prime vets looking for one last shot at a ring & guys trying to just hang on in this league and net themselves a minimum contract?

I could see a player like a Steve Blake taking a pay cut for a year and being the starting point, with a guy like Brad Miller doing the same for a year.  Then there are plenty of players they could add to come off the bench. With LeBron, Wade, and Bosh your bench doesn't have to be great.

This would be if there wasn't a new CBA coming, but a new CBA changes almost everything, even though I believe there still would be some players willing to take a pay cut.

Who says anything about LeBron in Miami, though; this report is regarding Bosh.  I'll buy into the Wade-and-LeBron together speculation when I see those guys with the same color uniform.

Wade and Bosh, together, would be a good team.  Add Steve Blake, better.  Add Amare at the C (or Boozer).  Add Brad Miller or Shaq to the bench.  That's a title contender, but I'm not giving them the crown yet.

Put LeBron and Bosh together in Chicago, I'm stepping back and watching the ride!

There has been speculation for days that Bosh, Wade and LeBron met in Miami last week to talk about putting the pieces together. That's what's happening here. By removing Beasley and Chamlers, it frees up enough space for ALL of them to get max money (while not paying FLA state income tax, I might add).

Concerns about their bench are short sighted. Owners are going to be very cheap about middle of the road NBA players this off-season due to the pending CBA, so role guys will line-up around the corner to take spots on Miami's roster. They'll only really need 5-7 guys anyway. Can even sign guys like Morris Almond -- solid shooter with a deficient game otherwise. He'll have wide open 3s on every posession.....

I don't know if it's exactly short-sighted to have concerns about their bench.  You need depth to win in the NBA.  Also, as we've seen lately, you need size, also.

What role players are we talking about here exactly?  Guys like Morris Almond are going to be rotation players?

The Lakers bench wasn't that great other than Odom, but with us losing Perk and terrible officiating they were gifted a championship, so I don't believe you need a great bench to be champions.

You need competent rotation guys.  You DO need depth.  I know it may be painful for some to admit but the Lakers actually had some depth and got key contributions from their bench.

Just me - but I like this lineup better than Lebron-Bosh-Wade.

Get Bosh (Done)...you have Wade already..so now you have 2 of the maybe top 10-15 players in the League on your team.

Now - just search for that third player that could fit it.....doesn't necessarily have to be a major player.

Chemistry, MIA...Chemistry.

MIA: Take a page out of Boston's Notebook (Summer 2007).

My point is there will be passable NBA players available to them at the min. Take Scal for example. He'd sign there for the min, no? Why can't he play 15 minutes a game on a winning team?
