Who says anything about LeBron in Miami, though; this report is regarding Bosh.  I'll buy into the Wade-and-LeBron together speculation when I see those guys with the same color uniform.

Wade and Bosh, together, would be a good team.  Add Steve Blake, better.  Add Amare at the C (or Boozer).  Add Brad Miller or Shaq to the bench.  That's a title contender, but I'm not giving them the crown yet.

Put LeBron and Bosh together in Chicago, I'm stepping back and watching the ride!

There has been speculation for days that Bosh, Wade and LeBron met in Miami last week to talk about putting the pieces together. That's what's happening here. By removing Beasley and Chamlers, it frees up enough space for ALL of them to get max money (while not paying FLA state income tax, I might add).

Concerns about their bench are short sighted. Owners are going to be very cheap about middle of the road NBA players this off-season due to the pending CBA, so role guys will line-up around the corner to take spots on Miami's roster. They'll only really need 5-7 guys anyway. Can even sign guys like Morris Almond -- solid shooter with a deficient game otherwise. He'll have wide open 3s on every posession.....

I don't know if it's exactly short-sighted to have concerns about their bench.  You need depth to win in the NBA.  Also, as we've seen lately, you need size, also.

What role players are we talking about here exactly?  Guys like Morris Almond are going to be rotation players?

The Lakers bench wasn't that great other than Odom, but with us losing Perk and terrible officiating they were gifted a championship, so I don't believe you need a great bench to be champions.

You need competent rotation guys.  You DO need depth.  I know it may be painful for some to admit but the Lakers actually had some depth and got key contributions from their bench.

No they did have some depth Shannon Brown and Jordan Farmer along with of course Odom are good bench players.  Odom makes up a lot for there bench though.

As long as it's not Lebron they still aren't better than a full C's team, Orlando, Cleveland (LJ) and maybe a few others.

Should be a slightly more entertaining though.

I don't understand how they can say it's a done deal when teams are forbidden from talking to free agents until July 1.  They fined Steve Kerr big bucks just for mentioning LeBron in a sentence.  How can teams have a done deal, especially in a S&T before the deadline?

There have been a lot of 'done deals' in the past week, no?  Don't believe everything (or anything really) you read/hear.

Bosh is waiting to see where Lebron goes before he agrees to any sign and trade.  When Lebron signs with the Cavs the Rators will look at sign and trade packages from both Cleveland and Toronto and see who gives them the better deal.  Bosh won't care which team he goes to since he will be with a true superstar.  The Cavs can offer a much better deal than Miami, a deal which would include Hickson and AV(Toronto has always wanted Varejao).

Notice I said 'when' Lebron re-signs with the Cavs.  You don't turn down 30 million dollars to play for another team.  The Bulls seem good on paper now, but they have no one who can shoot the ball and an owner who is notorious for being ridiculously cheap.  You don't go to the Knicks when they won't be getting any other free agents (Joe Johnson is getting offered the max bird rights contract).

You don't turn down even more money to play in Miami (Miami couldn't even offer Lebron a max deal if they got Bosh).

Its just media guys scrambling to be the first to break news.  If it ends up happening, LeBatard looks good.  If not, people will forget about it.

I'm 100% the raptors are considering their S+T options with Bosh. They could have already agreed with Miami on what to do if bosh wants to go to Miami. Bosh could have told the Raptors, find a way to trade me to Miami.

All of that is legal.

Just me - but I like this lineup better than Lebron-Bosh-Wade.

Get Bosh (Done)...you have Wade already..so now you have 2 of the maybe top 10-15 players in the League on your team.

Now - just search for that third player that could fit it.....doesn't necessarily have to be a major player.

Chemistry, MIA...Chemistry.

MIA: Take a page out of Boston's Notebook (Summer 2007).

With those two in place, I think you still go for Lebron first, but I'm not sure he does it. Does Lebron REALLY want to be the third highest-paid player on his team forever?

If Lebron says no, I think Miami should spread that remaining cash around multiple guys. Maybe some combo of Haywood, Felton, Mike Miller, Travis Outlaw. That might give them a more rounded team.
Go Celtics.

But at the same time...couldn't Lebatard end up scewing over the Heat?  Because if the NBA finds out that teams talked before july 1st, a punishment is in order

What's his source?  He's never gonna give it up.  It could someone from within the organization but he'll never give it up.  It'll remain anonymous or the ever popular "credible source".

Bosh = overrated.  To me, his FA news has been humdrum...

I agree. He is an upgrade for sure over Beasley but he wont take Wade to the promised land.

Losing Chalmers might actually make it a wash depending on who they sign to replace him at the point.

Chalmers played terribly for a lot of the season, losing him isn't a big deal.
