I watched the Bobcats a ton last year, and just want to opine on their big men talentwise, leaving the salary-cap aspect out of it.
How awful Diop is cannot be overemphasized. He absolutely sucks. I would take Artisom Parakhouski over him 10 times out of 10. No brainer.
Mohammed lost weight, played hard, and climbed out of Larry Brown's doghouse until getting injured. He proved he has something to offer, and still has some gas left in the proverbial tank.
I have always hated Chandler, and consider his last season in Chicago to be his most characteristic season. He basically sucked his way out of town. True, playing with Chris Paul on a team with few other options, he proved that he is able to catch a perfectly delivered lob pass and throw it into the hoop. But even a lay-up is still beyond his range. And he is such a DUNCE that he is still, as far as I know, thinking of opting out of his contract, which pays waaaay more than he'll ever make again. Presumably, he just wants to sign some kind of deal before the rest of the league sees him playing a whole season without Chris Paul as his PG. Ecch!
