No way they give up # 4 just to get rid of big al. I think they would do a sheed and Perk for Big Al though. Save about 5 mil this year after a sheed buyout, get a young center to play next to Love which is a much better fit. They aren't asking for much for Big Al so I think they would do this.

I agree, there is no way we are getting that #4. But, like you, I proposed that trade of Sheed and Perk for Al in another thread. If the Wolves would bite on that deal, you've got to do it.

That way, Min has a C to go next to love and can pick Wesley Johnson to be their SF.  (or trade if he is gone)

Big Al makes like 12 mil I think. Sheed was making abot 7 mil and perk 4 mil, so I think the salaries match up pretty good.

Big Al' s knee is worse that Perk's, I'm pretty sure about that. I would love LOVE this trade. Defense is something Big Al can learn, but Perk will never learn the moves Big Al's got, he is special.

Only thing with that trade is Big al would get beat up by dwight. He just is not as big as perk. We would really need to sign a good defensive backup. Would love to have Big Al back I really loved him with the Celtics.

If this happens, Lord knows we'd better get Shaq. I love Big Al, but I'd hate to toss him to the wolves (Dwight) like that, even if we only play ORL for 4 games a year.

Big Al makes $13m next year.  Sheed and Perk make $10.7m.  This falls within the 20% margin.  Brilliant trade, if we can do it.  Take Favors/Cousins/Davis at #4 and we are back in business!

Yeah - but if I remember correctly, Dwight had Field Days against Erick and Haywood.

Look, I'll support whatever Danny does and I'll still bleed green, but if we trade Perk we definitely need to have a plan in place for Dwight, and I don't think Damp or Haywood is it, IMO.
