Ben Wallace is a must on this team. He brings everything that we know this team lacks. Rebounding, toughness, defense... If Ben Wallace can give us almost 10 rebounds a night until Perk returns he’s worth whatever it takes.

He’s still has more boards to grab 8)

The Celts lack defense and toughness? Really? I beg to differ. So does Wade, LeBron, Howard and probably Kobe.

Ben Wallace for sure, he doesnt have to score, he just have to defend and get rebounds, the Pistons were a big disappointment this year, they were loaded weren't they? In my opinion the Pistons shouldve been in the playoffs but apparently did not.

However, seeing how Ben Wallace play, im sure he still have something left in the tank. He can still rebound, VERY WELL. Dude he did win defensive player of the year you know.

exactly, a guy who can still get 21 rebounds at his age, should definitely be considered. I know adding him will make the celtics look old, but hey he plays DEFENSE!, he REBOUNDS!, the things we really needed vs the Lakers...i mean imagine if we had Ben Wallace, game 7 where the Lakers had 20 offensive boards would not have happened!, well other reason is cuz Perk is out =\...

You know with the whole rebounding thing, I just feel it is something our guys just have to work on. I mean everyone is saying to get a big for rebounding, but if Rondo at 6'1 is capable of grabbing 18 rebounds, then I am more than sure that most of those guys can at least grab a whole lot more rebounds than they usually get.

So rebounding is something that we can fix with the guys we have, but with Perk possibly missing the beginning of the season we do need to get a center, and I think Ben Wallace (like u said) would be perfect.

I don't like the FA centers at all. After Haywood its a steep drop off in quality. How would Perk feel about becoming a bench player? Because that's the only way we could get Haywood here - -he wouldn't be willing to come off the bench.
Grab a few boards, keep the TO's under 14, close out on shooters and we'll win.

It wasn't just those two. KG and Rondo play a little defense, it turns out. Also, Perk will be back. It's not time to panic yet.

B-Wallace is more done than Sheed was.  Definitely don't want to drag him through a full regular season.

You don’t wanna drag him from Halloween to New Years? Ben Wallace is a better rebounder than Perk STILL and i think it’s be a good cheap signing.

Other cheap options...

Shaq (38)
Tony Battie (34)
Earl Barron (28)
Ilgauskus (35)
Jermaine O’Neal (32)
Kyrylo Fesenko (24)

Ben Wallace also gives us nothing at all offensively, which is a big problem for this group.  The C's need to look to improve offensively.  The Finals showed us that you can play the best defense anybody's ever seen and it won't matter if you can't score to save your life.
