Why not Orton or Alabi?

We needed size.  Perk hurt.  KG could be at anytime. Sheed retired.

Hello?

You don't draft for need. You draft BPA.

(Ainge reiterated this earlier this week).

whiteside, alabi and orton = P.O.B

Maybe yes.  Maybe no.

One thing is for sure.  Big baby is not big enough to play center.

The commercial was fine except for the first line.  Let me just say it was the worst thing you've ever heard in your life and you heard last Thursday.

Those guys are P.O.B. locks.

Ekpe Udoh and Paul George have potential to reach POB status.

Cole Aldrich will be a supremely average player so if you have high expectations for him I guess you could consider him a POB-type contender.
Grab a few boards, keep the TO's under 14, close out on shooters and we'll win.

Still don't get it. We have no center for next year, we need some young legs and we take a PG that apparently can't shoot and will never get time here.

No center available where the Cs were picking would help next year.

There is still time to address the C position (MLE, Sheed's contract).

I like the Bradley pick.

* He's a top defender, so that earns him minutes sooner.
* We NEED a backup for Rondo
* He can also take Tony Allen minutes (and let's not pretend Tony was a shooter)
* He was the #1 recruit (OVER John Wall) a year ago and Danny seems to think he was misused at Texas. So there is some serious upside there.
* He's 6'3" plus long arms like Rondo -- not a prototype SG but big enough to play there

I like what the Thunder have been doing.

my best friend who is a former diehard Sonics fan (and UW diehard) is distraught about this pick.   I think the only thing he cared about in this draft was for the THunder to not get Pondexter.
