Taking a point who isn't even really a point is idiotic.
wow. What an incredibly dumb pick. How do you not take James Anderson there?? Idiot. Anderson:- volume scorer - can create his own shot (something literally no one on our team can do except Robinson)- has length and size- good shooterbasically exactly what we need for our backcourt.Bradley:- average to poor shooter- tweener guard - terrible from the freethrow line yeah, that's exactly what we need, Danny. Another ridiculous liability from the free throw line who can't shoot and isn't a pure point guard. Taking a point who isn't even really a point is idiotic. That's the one position where we really didn't need to fill a need. We better be trading this pick to Memphis or something. Memphis needs a PG, remember, and they didn't want to take someone like Bradley who's only okay and not great at such a high spot.
Chad Ford's Insider Analysis:QuoteCeltics president Danny Ainge really likes Avery Bradley as an upside pick. He was one of the best high school players in the country and the Celtics felt like he wasn't used correctly in his one year at Texas. While Bradley isn't a pure point guard, his ability to slash and his solid midrange game could give the Celtics a dynamic (albeit relatively small) backcourt for the futu

The Eastern Conference champs are in a serious state of flux. The Celts are in desperate need of an infusion of youth, which Avery Bradley will bring. He's the best perimeter defender in the draft, but a bit of a tweener (not a real point guard, not tall enough to play full-time 2-guard) and a lousy outside shooter.Much like teammate Rajon Rondo, he struggles at the free-throw line far too much for a guard. Still, Bradley is a terrific athlete and will earn minutes right away as a lockdown defender. A Rondo-Bradley backcourt immediately becomes the NBA's best perimeter-defensive tandem. Plus, he fills the Celtics quota for "guards with two first names" in case Ray Allen departs. -Nick Prevenas
Bradley is a tweener in the backcourt who has the potential to develop into a point guard. He didn't have a great year at Texas after a celebrated high school career, but this is an upside pick for the Celtics.
Damion James will go to the Nets in a trade, league source says.
