Forget their salaries or contract statuses for a moment (as I don't have those details)...  But would you trade Tony Allen for Shannon Brown?
No, why the interest in Shannon Brown?
Nice dunks.

I believe we traded Travis Knight back for Tony Battie and in the sixties got an ex-Laker off the waiver wire....lost track of him...his name is Don Nelson

I did not know that. Interesting. Thanks.

It seemed like also that at Larry Bird's retirement ceremony that Bob Costas said the pick used to get Larry Bird originally belonged to the Lakers. Was it the trade that involved Don Chaney, Kermit Washington for  Charlie Scott? Anybody know anything on that?

Can't find anything to corroborate that in the ProSports transaction database.

Thanks. I could be mistaken but it seemed as if Bob Costas mentioned it. Costas didn't have his stuff together that night either, though. I remember he also introduced Joe Bird as Larry Bird's brother and waited to acknowledge him until the family told him that was the name of Larry's deceased father.

EDIT Thanks to hardlyyardly also. I had originally posted this before I seen your reply.

I did find this. The pick used to draft Rajon Rondo was originally a Lakers draft pick. It was traded to us in the Gary Payton deal. We traded it to the Hawks in the deal that returned Antione Walker back to the Celtics. The Hawks then used the pick to trade to the Suns for Joe Johnson who in turn used it to pick Rajon Rondo whom we traded for because Phoenix wanted to save money.

Eat that LA!

Somehow, with their parade and all, I don't think the Lakers care right now. Just a hunch.

I'd trade for Gasol in a heart beat.  The only thing not to like about that guy is the uniform he's wearing.

What about that he flops, doesn't shave or groom himself at all and complains about every call that goes against him. Im not saying he is not a good player, but those are reasonable complaints.
