This is it. Do or die, become champions or lose so close to the goal.

I'm so excited and scared for this game. We will either celebrate like crazy after the game or get depressed, failing so close to the goal... I can't even imagine how terrible it would be to lose against the Lakers, on their homecourt, in a game 7... but how great it would be to win in that same circumstances, that I can envision.

Rondo must be the aggressor tonight. Of course, the Big Three needs to produce but Rondo has to attack and make the Lakers pay for disrespecting him. Be active off the ball, attack the paint, attack Kobe, take the wide open shots you get, make your FT's (tough task it seems in the Finals for Rondo).

And we just need to get back to our great D, and then trust each other offensively. Both things are linked of course, but trust your teammates like you did all year and we're all good. Kobe will try to take over ar some point.

My dream scenario would be a Kobe made shot in the last 20 seconds, people screaming "Kobe killed the Celtics, he is so clutch"... and then the game would end on a Ray buzzer beater 3 for the win. How awesome would it be? And not so improbable. 8)

Sheed will have to be big in this game, he just has to stay out of foul trouble. He was signed for situations like this, time to step up.

TP FL for the last thread of the season. Let's bring banner 18 home tonight. And win it for Perk, too.

GO CELTICS!!!

Today is the 17th, so I suppose you are predicting an epic 2 OT battle that ends past midnight ET.  ;) Go C's!

I'd rather it be Paul Pierce.  They hate him so much out there.

Or KG posterizing Pau and a helping Kobe with a dunk.

X-Factors
Officiating and Energy and Hustle
The officiating continues to be a concern in this series.  If the game is called fairly, it gives either team a chance to win it based on their play.  I would hate to see Game 7 decided by referees calling too many fouls on one team and getting key players in foul trouble.   Hopefully they will let them play but call it consistently on both ends.

Game 7 referees assigned

Joe Crawford, Dan Crawford and Scott Foster will be the officials for Game 7 of the NBA Finals.

Joe Crawford worked Game 1 and Game 5. Dan Crawford worked Game 3 and Foster, Game 4.

I want it badly.. but I really can't see it happening.  I'm already mentally preparing myself to see the Laker fans going nuts and Kobe celebrating in the 4th quarter.  I feel like I'm just going through the motions right now.  I have my green on... I'll break out the Celtic gear, but It feels like a Super Bowl game where your team is a major underdog.  You are happy to be there, but you don't really expect to win (at least for me).

I'm just going to eat some nachos and prepare for a world where Kobe is considered Jordan's peer.

If we play our game. Take it to the hoop first possession with PP on iso or KG on the block, hammer it inside, get to the line early. Play our stifling defense for 48 minutes we got this. LETS GO CELTICS!!! Believe.

This won't be easy, but we are winning this game tonight.  It's just what the Celtics do and have always done... we break LA's heart.
