we are in good shape...kobe is going to go into hero mode in the second half and that is the best thing for the celtics

Pierce has played fantastic on both ends of the court, including some great team defense that won't show up in the box score.

Ray needs to get going.

Rondo needs to get his head the game.

Perkins needs to play or sit down.

Now let's keep feeding the hot hand in the second half.

Pierce was hot & our All star (Rondo) decides to takes contested layup inside on one possession, and a little too late for the last second shot.

Every play in second half should run for Pierce. He should run the team.

Am I the only person who saw that Rondo tried to get him the ball?
Yeah, Rondo did the right thing, Pierce simply wasn't paying attention to the play.

2 of rondos turnovers were passes to perk..better to shoot the three..

Yes -- Rondo should never be really looking to pass to Perk unless he is all alone under the basket with no Lakers within 15 feet.

Magic Johnson praising the Celtics!!!  :o

That way he's labeled a "good guy" since he's a Laker, saying good stuff about the Cs, he must be objective, right?

All I care about at this point is that Doc talk some sense and purpose into the player's heads.  They are playing sloppy, and need, repeat NEED, to clean it up in the second half, because -- and I don't care how good our defense is -- the Lakers aren't going to keep shooting 33%
Celtics fan for life.

BTW, did anybody else hear Breen say Kobe wasn't shooting well because "he's been double and triple-teamed all series!"  Ell Oh Ell.
Breen is a clown.

Keep running the offense through Pierce and start getting defensive rebounds. We will win.

Exactly. I'm p---ed right now. Wasted two possession when he was hot. Lead would double digits now. Rondo is killing me right now.

...and even then I'd think twice about it.

Paul's hoops -- two came on poor shot-contests by Lamar Odom on switches + one on Walton late + a layup to begin the game + another long jumper off a pick and roll over Bynum I think it was. Don't recall the other two baskets.

I don't have much of a problem with Rondo's turnovers except for the pass he tried to thread to Perk when he had the wide open J at the free throw line (he hates that line!)

I had a much bigger problem with Nate's last two possessions.  He didn't display his usual energy and our bench momentum petered out.

The D is well engaged, but offensively the C's are making a lot of bad decisions. We need ray to at least be an offensive threat in the 2nd half. He's been playing awesome D but hasn't done anything on the offensive side. Overall, it was good team defense that gave us this 6 point lead. We play better offensively in the 2nd and we could be on our way to a win...GO CELTICS!

I heard that too. Is that guy not paying attention or what? Kobe is being defended mostly 1-on-1 out there.
