Wow,  I usually am superstitious and don't move during a game, but tonight I feel compelled to come online.

Crazy optimistic prediction. Ray Ray will hit 4 threes in the third and PP will score 14 in the 4th. Rondo will amass 9 more assists while driving, and rebounding. We will win and rip the hearts right out of the Lakers.

Go Celtics
See you in the Celtic After party celebration

  • About five seconds after 17 O'clock!!
Every time I hear a sideline report from Doris, I lose .016% of my BBIQ.

Pierce, needs to shut the heck up after games and play basketball. He has been terrible.

Give me a break. Like his playing with the crowd has anything to do with how this game is going.

I actually agree with Bruins here - a little less talk, a little more walk.

We need more from Paul offensively. Point blank.

The Good News:

- KG!!!
- Kobe is in hero mode tonight.
- Paul and Ray have done almost nothing and we're still in it.
- Defense greatly improved over the last 6 minutes.
- A lot of bounces have gone the Lakers' way.  Lucky plays tend to even out.
- Over the series, Perk seems to be getting stronger and Bynum weaker in their matchup.

The Bad News:

- A lot of Kobe's hero shots are going in.
- The Lakers have made a lot of those bounces go their way.
- KG looks like there's clearly something off with his left arm/side.
- Rondo cannot hit a FT to save his life.
- Backup bigs have done nothing.

I still have faith, but we need to do better this half.

GO CELTICS!!!

On the bright side, the piece on Rondo was excellent. Now the boys just need to come out with the same energy from the start of the game.  ;)

this game was decided at 9 am when they assigned these 3 turds to call this game. i dont think bynum has been called for a foul in this series

Dude, please. Please. We all know these officials are a mess tonight, we knew it all day, some of us (cough, me) thought the refs would be the story and the difference and the Lakers would win.

However, this halftime score is not the refs. Yes, I agree, they have made some crappy calls, but the Celtics are 6-12 from the line, have brought a big old bag of bricks to the Garden and have made it hard on themselves with some far-too-long sports of questionable defense.

I blamed the refs at 9am for the loss I envisioned. I cannot blame them for the horror I just sat through. This is all on the Green.

TP for stating the obvious.

disagree...refs allowed the lakers to go to the line and get themselves into the game early on...allowed them to chip away and get back....

I dont know but if Ray and paul dont get it going its gonna be hard to beat a team that has 5 players on the verge of double digit scoring!

I just didnt expect Paul and Ray to stink this badly in this game this is a must win come back game and i bet no one expected this but to me this is the series decider

Garnett and Perkins had great first halves. Garnett looked very good offensively and did a good job on the glass and Perkins was excellent rebounding wise.

TP for stating the obvious.

And one.

Blaming that half on the officiating is, to put it kindly, revealing.
Coined the CelticsBlog term, "Euromistake."
