Based on the first two games, how do you see the further development of this series?

Honestly I just can't see us getting all 3 in Boston.  The officiating is way too bad, so you know they'll hand the Lakers one on a silver platter.

2-1 in Boston should be good.  We'll be going to LA with a 3-2 lead going into game 6.

We can do this.

Three straight home games? No, I doubt it.

But I think there's a good chance we take Games Three and Four. That would be three straight.

  • GOT IT!!!
I think the C's will win at least two in Boston. If they can get the next two things will be very interesting though.

I feel pretty confident this is going 7, and that game 7 is going to be an epic, tossup game, where either team could win.

I think the C's are going to take 2 of 3 at home (it is REALLY tough to win all 3 of those games), Kobe (and the refs) are going to ensure there is a game 7, and then it is going to be a game 7 for the ages.

The most realistic scenario is that we win 2 out of 3 and head to L.A again up 3-2 but I wouldn't be surprised to see us win 3 games at home. Obviously game 3 will be big, we will know then how the series is going to evolve in Boston but I do think there is a good chance the Lakers collapse in this really hostile environment and lose all 3 games. We will see, but we definitely have the upper hand here, gotta take advantage of it.

These 2 teams are so evenly matched, and the officiating has been so wonky, I really don't know what to expect.

I'd love to see us go 2-1 or stomp on these guys and go 3-0. I hope Boston rolls out the welcome mat.

I just want to get that 2-1 lead.  This is a big swing game as if any aren't but game 3 is biggest to date..

That's how I see it, too, with the Celtics winning in Game 7 at the Forum.  I'd advise LA not to have their balloons ready, because they're not going to need them.

Very Confident.

Funny thing here is that the Pistons that beat LA had - Rasheed Wallace ;)

LA is a Great Team - but I really like our Opportunity, especially when we play Celtics Ball.

Of course it would be tough and I'm sure Stern is relishing over a possible game 7, but nobody thought that Pistons can do it either. If we can win game 3, that will really put Lakers under pressure, and I hope C's learned from game 3 vs Cavs and Game 4 vs Magic that you got to be super focused all the time. Who knows..

I too hope that the C's don't make the same mistake that they did with the Cavs.

We stole a game in their court...only to give up one to them in our home.

Game 3 is very imp.....the C's have the momentum with the big win from last night...and they need to come out tomorrow night with focus + energy and play intelligent basketball.

I just don't see either team sweeping in Boston.  They're both more than capable of winning on each others courts.  Buckle in for a long, competitive, entertaining series folks.

Well absolutely no one thinks we can win all three, but then again no one expected the Pistons to do it either.

I'm confident we can win at least 2 of the next 3. If the Celtics get hot they are perfectly capable of getting on a huge roll. Their defense gives them a chance almost every game. So a few lucky bounces and they will close it out in Boston. I think people are going to be surprised that the Celtics will actually be trying to close it out at the Garden..
