Why do we get no obvious fouls, flagrant fouls, or taunting calls?

Dwight Howard doesn't whine about a guy deserving a technical or a flagrant foul. ESPN, TNT, and the NBA want you as the average fan to "know" the following.

Kobe Bryant is the best player in the world. His team, The Lakers, are defending champions and are the best team in the world.

The Magic has the best record of the remaining teams, AND they lost last year in the finals so they're the 2nd best team.

The Celtics have come on strong in the playoffs and look like the team of two years ago, but not as good as the Lakers.

The Suns are prey sitting on the Lakers doorstep, they have no chance.



So then we have a few stories unfold.



Celtics are better, therefore The NBA has to switch it's marketing to better hype up another Boston/LA series.


But they still think the Lakers are better.


LA loses to Phoenix, and if Boston sweeps Orlando that would indirectly mean that Boston is the favorite in the finals....

By the way you guys sound like girls wanting technicals here and flagrants there. This is grown man basketball. Dwight's foul on Perkins was not a flagrant. It wasn't deliberate. You want a foul? The NBA does not allow retaliation. Retaliation will actually get people in more trouble than an initial movement/play. KG retaliated against Dwight after this hit on KG. Once again, watch that play and tell me Dwight calculated his hit. If you think so, I guess we'll never agree. I saw a hit that occured in the moment and it was unfortunate (but still a foul, I here you there) ...but it was KG's response...a closed fist hit back. THAT...will make David Stern cry. David Stern is like you guys. He wants the NBA to become the WNBA. They will call flagrants on anything if you sissies get your way. Ever heard of the Bad Boy Pistons? Real basketball players? When REAL fouls were called. Just shut up with your I want taunting called here and a technical there. You sound like a little girl.

Again, man...  calling Celtics fans "girls" isn't going to earn you a very long stay here.  Please give your opinions, but keep away from attacking Celtics fans.

Calls are made and missed. What irked me is that it feels like Howard camps down in the paint for half of the shot clock. Am I the only one seeing this, or am I just being a whiny ****. I know that traveling is hardly ever called.. so I don't expect them to call 3-seconds on Howard, but man, the guy just lives in the paint and he camps out there all night. Crying stopped. Moving on.

Your 100% right, It's really like Shaq in the 90's with these 3 second calls. I mean, they didn't call it once, i saw him there the whole game.

All I'm saying is guys...Accept a loss and move on. Orlando's accepted 3. They didn't come out blaming the refs. I didn't realize the Celtics never lost a game. Maybe you could swallow the fact that they just didn't play with the same intensity and that lost them the game.

Don't believe I used an "f-word" and actually haven't ever when on any forum. Thanks though. I do enjoy though that instead of reading what I said you all keyed onto a specific word allowing you to not discuss the basketball that I was talking about. I guess it isn't even worth posting on here because if I do make a point you will ignore it and focus on how I made the point and not the words themselves.

Alright guys, I apologize for calling the posters on this forum who want taunting, flagrant and technical fouls called for every play girls. I would like to call them sissies instead. To clarify, a sissy "Generally implies a lack of the courage and stoicism  which are thought important to the male role. It might also imply interests seen as strikingly un-masculine. I understand the bump and grind, you get some calls, you loose some calls...we lost the call where Baby blocked Jameer's shot at the end of tonight's game. That wasn't a foul but Baby got called for it. I'm sure there were other calls we should have been whistled for but we didn't get whistled for them. That's the bump and grind of the game, I get that.

What I don't understand is:

1. No flgrant 2 on Howard in game two in Orlando.
2. No flgrant foul against Matt Barnes in game three against KG
3. No flgrant foul against Howard on Perkins tonight.

But here are the kickers for me...

Howard completley elbows KG in the face in the paint and then rakes him across the face as well. KG pushes him back as he's getting Howard's hands off his face. Result?

A)Technical foul on KG

Meanwhile, Howard is clapping & yelling while glaring at KG.

B)That's called taunting but alas, no technical foul on Howard.

Meanwhile...Barnes, who already shoved KG itno the stands in the last game, is going up to KG and putting his hands "into" an already very irritated KG's chest. KG knocks them Barnes hands away, which means he "clearly" does not want Barnes' hands on him. What does Barnes do? He approaches KG again with his hands into KG's chest.

C) That should also be a technical for taunting on Barnes.

There should have been a Tech on both Howard and Barnes, but nothing. KG, however is slapped with a tech. BS

Meanwhile, back at the farm...

Jameer Nelson is palying free safety at the end of the game. Body blocks Pierce....no foul.

These are just obvious fouls, ultra incedibly easy to call.

The Magic played hard and hats off to them but...

...there have been multiple highly antagonistic and hard flagrant type fouls against us with never a call.

These are not bump and grind fouls.

It really [pee]es me off that we are not getting any of these "obvious" calls.

I agree 100%...the Final 6 free throws the Magic got to end regulation were ALL CRAP calls...C's did NOTHING to get those calls on them---AND we were in the penalty---they hit 5/6 of the free throws---and we lose in OT...if they DON'T call the Tech on KG--we WIN...HORRIBLE Scott Foster in charge here.

  Right around then Rondo took a shot where he got bumped a lot more than Nelson did, no call.If they make the same call (foul or no foul) on both of those we win.
