Alright guys, I apologize for calling the posters on this forum who want taunting, flagrant and technical fouls called for every play girls. I would like to call them sissies instead. To clarify, a sissy "Generally implies a lack of the courage and stoicism  which are thought important to the male role. It might also imply interests seen as strikingly un-masculine. " Is that better? Or does that offend too?

Sigh.  You were warned.  We welcome opposing fans here, but not ones who call our fans "sissies" or "strinkingly un-masculine".

Goodbye.  Enjoy your off-season.

This backhanded apology is even more offensive than the original post in which BTW you already called us sissies. Please can one of the mods please come in an clarify if this isn't against the rules? Thanks.

ETA: Never mind. I see you guys are all over this. Thanks.

So I see th Magic won one game and you got a fan over here already to talk smack to you.  Wow.  I can't stand the guys who want to come on this board just to gloat.

You shouldn't have banned him though.  He would have gone away on his own by the end of the week

It makes us appreciate guys like you all the more, MMac.  You're definitely a favorite for your reasoned analysis.  Either that, or we keep you around just to point to to say "See, we don't ban *every* fan of other teams". ;)

But seriously, it's disappointing to ban anybody, but it wasn't worth the grief.

Not every opposing fan is like you ;)

Kudos to you.

It is amazing -- every time the Celtics lose we get these threads that bring all the conspiracy theorists out of the woods. It's simple -- the Celts were outplayed by Orlando and lost.

Ok, so obviously, according to the Orlando dude who's now banned, I'm the biggest sissy/girl of all because I made the original whiny post. And I mean no disrespect to any women on this board ( I grew up with many sisters, most of whom knocked me out at various stages of my youth and I used to get my ass handed to me on a regular basis by an all-state female player at our school during pick up games ...and I was not a bad player. She was meaner, tougher and better than me.)

Also, I grew up playing on black top where you'd dive for the ball in heated games.

I love good, rough smashmouth basketball, both watching it and playing it. I look forward to going against a guy 50-60 pounds heavier and 6 inches taller than me and "getting into with him". That'a good time.

I think the refs are doing a generally good job in this series.

You win some you lose some calls.

Yes, the Celtics were outplayed last night, I 100% agree with them. I thought they were pathetic to not be able to close out this game when you are at hoema nd one game away form what you play for for your entire life; the NBA finals.

What I don't understand and actually find mind boggling is that some people make no issue of the ultra obivous calls that RE NOT being called.

Both teams get screwed. Yes, that is correct. Both teams don't get "some calls". Yes, this is true.

1. When a player pushed another player into and over the bench while making no play on the ball. That is different than Baby not getting a call on Jameer. It's a completely different and blatant play. iT SHOULD BE A FLGRANT OR AT A MINUMUM, A TECH. MINIMUM.

2. Taunting is apparetnly a very big no no in the NBA, you see guys getting called for it alot. You can't stand over someone. Clapping and screaming at someone after you got into a tustle that's being broken up is 99.9 percent of the time a flagrant. The rules say you can't do it. CALL IT. THAT'S ALL.

3. Matt Barnes, put his hands "into" KG's checst four times as KG was knocking them away and walking backwards off the court. Barnes kept after him and did it four times. You understand Barnes Trying to separate the two ( good samartian that he is), but once KG is walking back, that's it, you stop. It was clearly antagonistic and taunting. That should be a technical.

4. And Pierce was dribbling the ball it wasn't a complete loose ball. He had far more control over it than Neslon did. Even on a complete loose ball you can't just come in and body check someone.

These are not conspiracy theories. It's an acknowledgement that you get some calls and you loose some calls, but it'a a simple request to call the game, call the obvious ones.

That's it.

Sadly, most people are not smart enough to understand what you just wrote. They will misconstrue it. TP anyway.
Grab a few boards, keep the TO's under 14, close out on shooters and we'll win.

Thanks Rondo, and on #2, I meant it should have been a technical on Hoawrd for taunting.

I've seen multiple times if you simply stare at someone too long after dunking on them you can get a T for "taunting".

I would like to think that after elbowing someone in the face adn then staring at them, screaming whatever and clapping would be deemed as equivalent to simply staring at someone and therefore worthy of a T for taunting.
