This self righteous crap from Howard is making me sick. Saying "god" over and over doesn't make you a better person. You can be a christian without being obnoxious about it. If god is deciding these games, then theres really no reason to even play.
This is a country of many Faiths. When I see an athlete doing this I don't mind it at all. I don't see him as self-righteous.
You are right, too - saying God over and over doesn't make you a better person, this is true.
But it builds your faith.
Dwight will need this same rock-solid faith to help him once we beat ORL in this series.
In an ideal world, I would like him to follow The Admiral's exampple - David is a Christian, and when he played for the Spurs, I don't recall him inserting God in Post Game conferences, but hey him and Dwight are two different people I guess.
Now I don't like Dwight's elbows, but that's a story for another day.
Sure Dwight is a little young, but he will continue to mature. But I don't see anything wrong with him thanking God, and if I was a Celtics Player right now I wouldn't be intimidated by his statements at all.
Rondo was off this game, and so were the Celtics - no matter how many points Pierce or Ray had. If Rondo isn't playing well, we just don't win.
