Personally his hit on pierce was much worse than KGs on qrich. Is there any chance the NBA reviews this and looks at a suspension or am I just crazy and is this not even worthy.

I personally don't think the play was worthy of an ejection or suspension, but I know a lot of fans in the game thread disagreed with me.

NOTHING will happen to him....but like I said before---Perkins would have been kicked out of the league for that one-!!

I do agree if that was Perk that he would have been ejected...

Howard's flagrant foul should be a flgrant 2. He made absolutely "zero" attempt at the ball and that play was a very, very dangerous play. He came first at Pierce's head with all his body weight at a downward motion, his right hand may no play at the ball, his left didn't either, he then raked his hand across pierce's face and "then" also through him to the florr with the follow through.

Flagrant 2.

It's one thing to make a hard foul.

Howard's play was a flagrant 2.

I don't think so. Perhaps to a less important player than Dwight but not Dwight.

I don't think he deserves a suspension either.

Absolutely! Needs to be looked at by the league.

However, I didn't think Garnett deserved a suspension either.  The NBA confuses me at times.

There is no possible way Howard gets a suspension for that play... Not a chance, that would just be ridiculous.

Howard got his 4th foul (unfairly) early in the 3rd. Didn't get called for another foul all game, despite the 5 or 6 blatant shoves he had during rebounding action. He also wasn't called for any "50-50" fouls either. Example: KG upfakes, Dwight jumps, KG leans in, and what was a foul on Vince Carter (for hitting Pierce) is not a foul on Dwight. Yes, KG did go in for the dunk after that but the point stands. It was some pretty blatant protectionism, I thought, because I think we can all agree if Dwight Howard fouled out of that game the Magic would have had absolutely no chance.
Grab a few boards, keep the TO's under 14, close out on shooters and we'll win.

That was a straight up, textbook definition of a flagrant one. That is why they have the option to call a flagrant one or a flagrant two. A hard playoff foul that goes as a flagrant one. As a basketball fan I'll be upset if they review it and suspend Howard. I don't want to be an NBA fan where that foul gets you suspended.

As I said in the game thread, you can't compare that to KG on Q-Rich. The league looks at basketball plays and non-basketball plays differently. KG's elbow was in a scrum. They view an elbow as equal to a punch. He didn't get a flagrant or anything, he got T'd up and tossed. Totally different and different situations. If anything the Howard play is closer to Rondo/Brad Miller, a play on which a flagrant wasn't even assessed.

Paul Pierce in his postgame press conference said himself it was a hard playoff foul, no one deserved to be ejected for that. I'll take his opinion as the man who got hit as holding some weight.

Why wasn't this play reviewed by the officiating crew? Or does the flagrant foul video review not apply in the playoffs?!

The Ref's called the game very fairly in our favor tonight. If you look at the game and forget how many fouls each team had at the end you will see that the Magic had more Key plays influenced by the ref's than the Celtics had.

Our game plan revolves around fouls, and propper foul useage. The Magic does not

And regarding DHoward, that was a f1 foul not a f2 foul and i really do hope that he is not suspended for game2.

If we win this series, i want us to beat the Magic at full strength

Flagrant one, not that far from flagrant two.

Anyway, it's more fun to beat them with Dwight playing.
