CLEVELAND TRADES:
Sign & Trade Shaq
Mo Williams
WASHINGTON TRADES:
Gilbert Arenas
Why It Works for Cleveland:
Their chances of keeping Lebron aren't looking to shabby - they need to shake things up a bit and take some gambles. What's a bigger gamble than Arenas? He's former elite player, maybe a change of scenary would do him so good. The risk could be just enough to entice LBJ to stay. If he returns to form, Lebron would finally have the Robin to his Batman.
Mo Williams has proven 2 postseasons in a row that he just doesn't perform well - consistently - on the big stage. He could play successfully behind John Wall (if Washington selects him)
Why it doesn't Work for Cleveland:
Arenas still has A LOT of contract left, worth A LOT of money. If he's a bust, he'll be a collosal bust.
Why it Works for Washington:
Assuming they draft Wall #1 overall - and they should - there'd be no real place for him in Washington's rebuild plans.
You can add Shaq to the mix for some veteran leadership and possibly as a mentor to Andray Blatche.
Why it doesn't Work for Wash:
I really can't think of a reason - Mo Williams no longer has the pressure of the playoffs and could be a decent scoring option.
