I tell ya, if we do face the Lakers in the Finals, it's gonna be a tough series.  Whatever happens, I hope we really take it to 'em.  I'm tired of seeing teams play soft against the Lakers.  We roughed them up in '08 and we can do it again.

Sure, we have to get through Orlando first, but I'm feeling good.

I think Orlando's back is broken.

The Lakers however are playing incredible basketball. They're gonna bring it in the finals.

In our favour - they haven't faced a team with a real frontline yet.

I have to disagree. How about the Suns' frontline? Amare is arguably the best 4 in the league. Lopez is no scrub in the center position with Frye backing him up. Not trying to worship the Lakers or anything, just pointing out that the Lakers are scarier than I thought.

Amare is playing some of the worst defense at the PF spot that I have ever seen in these past 2 games. Lopez is limited in minutes because of his injury. The Suns are overmatched. Lakers have had an easy path by no fault of their own. OKC was tough. I actually thought the Spurs and Mavs would've given them more issues.

Whatever, though. If we are good enough to make it to the Finals we may be able to hit them in the mouth in game 1 at the Staples Center in a similar fashion to what happened down Orlando.

I do worry about Gasol and Odom, to be honest. Odom is mismatch. I mean if they go with a small even though theyre BIG lineup like Gasol at center and odom at PF who do we have in?KG and Gasol seems it could be a wash but who guards Odom the Baby or Rasheed? meh

Man I am a Die Hard Celtic fan and Die Hard Laker hater, but I have to try and be as objective as possible...even when talking about the purple and gold cockroach Lakers. Please don't kill me for saying this fellow Celtic fans but....[dang it] these Lakers look really good. Scary good unfortunately. I love the way our C's are playing, and I think we can match up with them. But these Lakers have won 8 playoff games in a row, and completely swept a very good Utah team, and now may do the same with a Phoenix team that was on fire and that had swept a physial and veteran San Antonio team (that themselves were playing quite well and similar to another team that wears green and we all love). I am not a blind homer who thinks we are going to "punch them in the mouth" easily like in 08. Don't you think they have not prepared for this? Don't you think most of that Laker team knows how the Celtics play?

I think they will be much tougher for our C's than it was in 08. They've got a p---ed off Kobe, Pau, Odom, and co plus significant upgrades in Bynum (missing in 08 Finals), Artest, and Brown over scrubs who played key minutes in the 08 Finals (Radmanovich, Walton, Turiaf). This guy Kobe, as much of a doosh bag I think he is, I have to say he knows how to hold a grudge. I mean, he still holds a grudge on the Phoenix Suns for eliminating his Lakers back in 06 and 07. Look what he's doing to them now.

Ok I feel sick, I need to shower or something after giving the Lakers that much praise. In the end, I'm expecting an all out WAR between our boys in Green and the evil Lakers. Let's hope the good guys can pull it out.

Amar'e might be the best offensive 4, but defensively he's been beyond awful this series. Mikki Moore-esque defense, just bad.

I always thought Perkins played Gasol better on defense, at least when it came to his post offense. His strength bothered Gasol down low.

I agree Fafnir. Lakers going with Odom at the 4 would play into our hands. Perkins did very well with Gasol two years ago. I have to commend Pau. He is passing the ball like a madman. Great vision. Our team destroys passing lanes, though. Better than any team I've ever seen.

One interesting thing is that Rondo is so good now that I don't know if they could afford to have Kobe covering him because he would get absolutely winded or torched. The whole play 10 feet off of him thing is starting to lose its steam because it either gives him a running start or opens up his vision lanes.(I think Kenny the Jet brought this up) They're going to have to pick their poison out of Ray or Rajon. Artest would be solid defensively, but not as good as Lebron on Pierce.

No way overlooking Orlando. Just wanna make it clear. Enjoy the journey.

Amare is playing soft anytime the ball isn't in his hands -  his rebounding numbers have been terrible.  Lopez has become a solid center but isn't great at anything he does and gets most of his points because he's the guy the defense cheats off.  And Frye looks absolutely terrified out there.  There's a reason why the only success the Suns have had is when they've gone small.

I'm not sure what they've done this season to show themselves to be significantly better than Cleveland or Orlando.
