would Toronto sign and trade Bosh to Cleveland

I was just thinking that if Toronto knows Bosh is gone, if the might help him leave.  I'm not sure Cleveland really has the pieces that say Chicago does, but Cleveland could certainly give them almost all expiring contracts and a nice young player like Hickson.

Cleveland would have to send somewhere in the neighborhood of 15 million to Toronto to get Bosh back.  West, Moon, Parker, Hickson, and Powe would do it (obviously the Cavs would also need to send some draft picks and probably cash).  If Toronto wanted the Cavs to take on more salary, the Cavs could potentially sign and trade Big Z or Shaq on a one year deal and send them to Toronto or send them Varejao or Boobie, if the Raptors actually wanted either of them (maybe toronto is done with Hedo or Calderon, for example).

Granted I don't think this is likely at all, but the thought did cross my mind.

Yes, I think so.

Toronto liked JJ Hickson a lot prior to the draft. Add two/three future first round picks on top of that and you have an enticing trade package. Not too many teams can, or more accurately will, make a better offer than that.

To improve matters, the Cavs could also take back a bad contract. Maybe bring in Hedo Turkoglu or Jose Calderon. Or possibly offer Mo Williams in the trade if Toronto were interested in him.

So, yeah, I think Cleveland can make a good sign and trade offer (relative to other offers) to the Raptors.

No, no, no ... can't give up Varajeo ... Varejao is the perfect complement (role player) to Chris Bosh. Give up anyone and anything else. Just keep Varejao.

Varejao will allow Bosh to unleash his full potential.

So, yeah, I think Cleveland can make a good sign and trade offer (relative to other offers) to the Raptors.

• Chicago -- will offer Gibson + future picks + possibly Deng but they'll try to keep Deng off the table
• New York -- David Lee, or, possibly Chandler or Gallo if LeBron or Wade has already agreed to join (otherwise not Gallo).
• Dallas -- Caron Butler and change, or, Dampier + Beaubois
• Houston -- Scola + rotation player + Jordan Hill or future draft pick
• Miami -- Michael Beasley + large trade exception
• Oklahoma -- Jeff Green + some assortment of youth/picks (hard to pin down that part, could be a lot, could be very little)

San Antonio may get involved also (Splitter, Blair + picks or Tony Parker) but I'm not certain they make a serious effort to get Bosh so I left them out.

I'm confused then waht happens to Jamison? Doesn't he have 2 more years left? I dont't think they are going to pay someone 14 mil per a year to be a bench player, and a bench player who would get minimal minutes playing behind someone of the caliber of Bosh

Bosh can play center against just about every team.

Agreed, but he is best utilized with another big who can bang and play both PF/C. That way he can avoid the nastier defensive match ups.

That's why he'd be great with AV.

They could trade Harris for some pieces...I still think S+T for Joe Johnson would be their best option for trading D-Harris.

I guess the opinion of that team is greatly affected by your opinion of Joe Johnson. To me that looks really no better then this years hawks team, probably a little worse. By the time John Wall really came into his own Joe Johnson would be on the downside for sure.

I guess the opinion of that team is greatly affected by your opinion of Joe Johnson. To me that looks really no better then this years hawks team, probably a little worse. By the time John Wall really came into his own Joe Johnson would be on the downside for sure.

John Wall would be miles better than Bibby from the get-go.  He's projected to be on a similar level as Derrick Rose (at least).

Joe Johnson would probably be roughly the same, though he might benefit from not having to be the guy who wins the game on an iso every time.

Bosh is a lot better than Josh Smith offensively, and isn't bad defensively.  He's a major upgrade.  25 and 10 versus 18 and 8.

Lopez has better size than Horford, and a better mid range jumper.  He also has a higher ceiling in my opinion.

Terrence Williams already looks like he can have a bigger impact than Marvin Williams, and Courtney Lee, CDR, and Yi are better than the guys the Hawks have off the bench (aside from Crawford).

A core of John Wall, Bosh, and Johnson could be very formidable for years to come (though Joe probably will start to decline in 4 years or so).

a) Bibby is basically done as a starter quality player.  He's like a better Eddie House at this point.  Woodson probably should have started Crawford or even Teague instead.

b) John Wall is far, far more athletic than Conley.  Only injuries would prevent him from being a force from the get-go.
