he's still got some gas in the tank...10 minutes a game and for the playoffs...less minutes for kg...only problem would be sheed's minutes...

I think it's time for the Big Diesel to retire.

I want youth. The Celtics organization is not a semi-retirement spot, lol.

I hope he stays in Cleveland and slows them down again.

I doubt Shaq would accept a minimum contract, and I doubt he'd accept 10 to 15 minutes per game.  Those are the only circumstances under which I'd want him on the Celtics.

I think Shaq still has quite a bit left in the tank, honestly.  He can score in the post, he can rebound, he can defend the low post.  However, he doesn't really add a ton to our team.  He's a slower version of Perk at this point, with a better offensive game.  For our backup center, I'd prefer somebody with more mobility, who can help us against more athletic teams.

Shaq is still going to be best on a team that wants to run an inside outside game.  There, he can still be effective.  It wouldn't shock me to see him sign with a team like Miami or Chicago, depending upon whatever other stars they sign.  However, I can't see him here.

No interest. The Celtics big man rotation's lack of speed and mobility makes them vulnerable enough already.

I like the idea. Especially now since I see them trading Perk for a legit PF this offseason.

Because KG isn't a legit pf?

I thought that the trade Perk stuff started because of the rampant "the Celts aren't contenders anymore" nonsense.

He's going into a contract year, Perk will be shopped this summer. I'd be willing to bet money on it.

Beat me to it.

Perk doesn't go anywhere unless Danny's got a way to upgrade that position.  Perk's regressed on offense but he's still very solid defensively as we've seen this postseason

Shaq definitely isn't done, but he's not coming here.

I think he should just go to whatever team Lebron goes to. Then they have the two best Cav's players along with whoever they already have.

But the last thing we need is another 30 plus year old big man.

No interest. Celtics need to add youth and athleticism. Not more senior citizens.

  • TRANSFORMATION INTO CHAMPION COMPLETE!!!
I'd love him as Perk's backup, on a minimum vet contract.

If he thinks he's starting: No

If he costs more 4 million a year: No

If it's a contract for more than a year: No

Which adds up to him probably not wanting to come here.
