We spent 10 hours at the hospital yesterday because our boy is sick. Hopefully it is nothing too serious. They took some blood tests and we are going back there today for one more test. It really puts things in perspective.

It made me so glad and so very proud to get up and see that we didn't just beat the Cavs, we annihilated them. So proud of this team. I will hopefully get to watch Game 6 as I have time off from work Friday.

GO CELTICS!

This is my second favorite win in my Celtics playoff history only to the 39 point bludgeoning we gave LA in game 6 of the finals.

Must not have been around that long. I got about 40 years of Celtics history to wade through before I pick an all time favorite.

Game 4 of the 1984 Finals ranks up there.
Game 5 of the 1976 Finals that caused me to miss the last train to S. Acton ranks up there.
Games 5, 6, and 7 of the 1981 ECF against DR J's Sixers was the greatest series ever played.
Bird vs Dominique
Micheal Jordan going off for 63 points in the Boston Garden (only time we were threatened that year).
The beatings will continue until morale improves

Great Win.
Powerful Statement.
Now the Cs need to be incredibly focused in Game 6; can't assume anything or take anything or anyone for granted.
Celtics fan for life.

Awesome win! Credit where credit is due ... Paul Pierce played excellent defense on LeBron James, as well as giving us 21 points, etc.. Yes, The Queen had a bad night, but part of that bad night was because of The Truth, who finally came through for us at both ends.

As far as Sheed ... he played 13 minutes, had three rebounds, committed 5 fouls, scored NO points, no assists, no steals, no blocks, one turnover, and one huge waste of time on the court. Can you imagine what the score might have been if someone else had played for those 13 minutes?!?

Tired of this guy and his apathetic efforts.

Actually I thought Sheed played fine tonight. Played Good D - The best I've seen from him all season! Actually rebounded! HUSTLED!! And each foul he committed was with some purpose rather than his usual lazy reach-ins that lead to And1s or Ts. He played the role he needed to tonight and did so without any of his usual attitude. I think having him and KG on the floor at the same time is the key to opening up his game as KG seems to be the only one who can get him going. Having two bigs who we can feed in the post at the same time gives us a lot more options offensively than having Perk in there and a higher chance of grabbing that offensive rebound/2nd chance point. Hope we see some more of it come Thursday.
Never stop believing baby~

Have to disagree with you here, Bahku.

He didn't hurt the Team, and played within himself. He did have 3 boards as well. He contributed.

It's difficult to call out a single player in such a Big Win.

Gotta agree with that...all the younger folks here need to get a hold of that '81 ECF series.  Probably the most intense and amazing basketball ever played...period.

Wow ... I'm truly amazed at the bullets this guy dodges. How anyone could have a (lack of) performance like Sheed did tonight and come away clean is baffling to me.

I guess maybe it's the jubilation of having blown the Cavs out on their floor, and I can certainly understand that to a point, but this guy completely wasted thirteen minutes of time when another player would have been contributing and working his butt off, (more than one on the bench who comes to mind), someone who wouldn't take such an opportunity for granted, would have produced something positive.

Time after time, whenever this guy has another lack-luster performance and someone says something, it's shot down as quickly as it's brought up. I still haven't quite figured out what it is about him that's so redeeming, but I'll just have to chalk it up to my own lack of perceptiveness pertaining to Rasheed and his "talents".

I certainly admire and respect your opinion, GF, so I'll just assume I'm missing something about this guy ... some kind of "intangibles" that I don't seem to have a grasp on. So be it. ;) (TP)

Well, all I know is that if he didn't show up 2 games ago, we'd be down 3 - 2, instead of up. And he played well on Sunday.

I just look at every player on the team and what they've done for the body of work on the Celtics this season.

We get past CLE, and I'm sure we'll see Scal on Rashard Lewis next series. It's all about showing up when it's time.

I was mis-informed on Scal -  he's been in Street clothes a lot. Is he hurt or something? Or just not activated?

No ... this was a TNT game ... no replay of this one, unfortunately.

You really think he won that game for us? I tend to believe that someone else would have stepped up, but like I said, he has a good game once in a while ... unfortunately it's much too rare an occurrance, especially for the money he's being paid. As far as Sunday, he played 20 minutes, had 3 points and 3 rebounds ... not a "good" performance, IMVHO, especially for the fourth highest salary on this team. ;)

Regarding Sheed, I'll say this, his defense and effort tonight were good and he gave us 5 extra fouls on Shaq that slowed the game to our pace and prevented lay ups and dunks that may have ignited the crowd.

Say what you want but those types of games are necessary at times(giving lots of fouls by different players) and last night I think fouling the bigs down low and fouling the people going to the basket slowed the game to the C's pace and took away any chance the Cavs had of mounting a momentum change.
