Celtics take the last of the available top 3 All League Team Centers:

Brad Daugherty

Now that pick is awesome.

The 2nd C you pick is better then the 1st C you picked.

wasn't aware I had another center!
Yup

any thoughts on my larry johnson pick... his second year in the pros i think was a great year
His lack of height will make your team vulnerable against all power forwards with size + offensive liability ability.

It'll create a mismatch against your own team on an almost nightly basis. Bad pick.

Pre-back injury, he was a heck of a player.  2nd best short PF in NBA history (after Barkley)

Hard to compare eras, but Unseld was 6'7" and Adrian Dantley was only 6'5".

Unseld was one of the best undersized C.

I may have forgotten Dantley

6th round I better get some size or I might be in trouble as Rodman and Bosh at PF/C is not a lot of size, but I like that mix especially with Lebron at SF and Stockton at the point.

I was happy Bosh made it this far.

completely disagree larry was a master at defending the bigger guys with his quickness in the beginning of his career

Bosh is an excellent pick for this juncture in the draft.

Yeah, you definitely need some beef.  Bosh is going to get killed against the great centers in this league.

Like Barkley, early in his career, he was strong with a big jump.  It helped him against many PFs.  But like Barkley, he was susceptible to a really good tall PF.

Yep.

But you may have found a good pick and roll partner for Stockton.

Yep.  Bosh is an excellent potential power forward there.  I'd just prefer to see him next to a strong defensive center, like a Dikembe.

I do have Rodman who was pesky as hell against Shaq and Hakeem in the early 90's.  Obviously Rodman can't defend them for long periods of time, but I think people forget just how versatile and how good Rodman was at guarding essentially 4 positions.

I do have a couple of guys in mind, that I'm hoping will be there for my two picks in the 6th round, that should add some necessary size to my interior (I probably should pick up a SG at some point as well).

Just wanted to no what everyones opinion would be as to where I should put larry ar the 3 or the 4?

Definitely the 3.
Definitely the 4.

How so?
If it was early to mid 80's Bird, I would say play him at the three ... but at that point in his career (89-90), I feel better about him defensively playing the four spot.

I also like the idea of the team using a four out one in offense and taking advantage of Larry's shooting + passing ability to create great floor spacing for everyone else.

I'm not sure I'd like the idea of a 32/33 year old Larry Bird defending the likes of some of the PFs that have already been drafted here.  That's a lot of wear & tear on a body that was already pretty susceptible to injury at that point in his career.

I gotta do a little research but I think I can work out away for larry to play the 4 but guard the 3 spot...got find the right player though.

Early 90's Shaq is not the Shaq that Rodman would see here. I understand your point but, just saying that Rodman at his best is going to have a very tough time guarding the bigger centers when they are at their best.
