16-4...boston hasn't even shot a FT in this quarter. boston can't even defend without a foul called. what a joke. it makes the game unwatchable and it just is pathetic.

the nba is a seriously flawed product because officials sway the game. just criminal tonight.

how many fouls does james have? ZERO

Celtics need 15+ points from Pierce in the 2nd half.
Once you are labeled 'the best' you want to stay up there, and you can't do it by loafing around.

How can you foul only 4 times in a half as a team? Amazing... and ridiculous.

Quisy on the court, let's see how he does.
Because this league is rigged.  Every game Lebron is involved in is unwatchable because his team can get away with everything short of an Artest Melee.  And even then, Lebron wouldn't be suspended.

You're right. You can tell by the way the Cavs won the title last year.

And the year before.

And the year before.

18 FTA for Cleveland and 5 for us and yet we still lead by 4 at halftime... it's a miracle.

Pierce has to step up in the 2nd half, KG too (looks like he switched bodies with Sheed).

Also, we usually can expect the calls to go the other way in the 2nd half but I'm not feeling it. Ridiculous officiating so far.

boston has zero chance to win tonight. they are getting jobbed like i have never seen

I actually thought last game was worse, though maybe we shouldn't speak so soon. It's only halftime and it's getting past Bavetta's bedtime.

As for the first half, it was sloppy, KG and PP were really poor, but we're still up 4. LeBron will make a move, but if Pierce and KG can step up there's no reason we can't take the game.
McHale's favorite ruse is putting paper in the mouths of sleeping teammates. "Try using one of these cocktail napkins," he said. "When just the edge sticks out of a guy's mouth, it looks like he's got fangs. The best part is when he wakes up."

PF Count 15-4

16-4... thats awful. If the Celtics loose this game the Celtics should do whatever it takes to draw attention to the poor officiating.

Need a good start in the third. I'd like to have a lead of at least 8 points heading into the fourth quarter.

Too many unforced turnovers and wasted possessions.

It'd be nice if both teams got called for fouls when they played the same tough defense.

not really.  last game they got jobbed big time.  this game the refs aren't manufacturing calls against the C's---they're just not calling anything on Cle.  Granted it's still unfair but if the C's were playing smarter on offense and defense, there'd be less whistles against them.  of course, the game should be called fairly where Cle should be having calls whistled against them.

naturally Stern is smiling in the stands like the Emperor just thinking he'll get his wet dream matchup of Kobe and Bron in the finals as long as the refs continue to call an unbalanced game.

Still, can't believe the C's are winning though.

Wow! Marv and Reggie calling out the FIX!!!
they noted the difference in fouls but are not insinuating any kind of "fix"

and another fastbreak for Cle.  jeez, when are the C's going to put a hand in the face of the man making the outlet pass to slow down the transitions?

It sounded like they were talking inequity to me. Reggie also mentioning the goaltend by LeBron!!!

There's no question there's some serious issue with reffing in the league.

I believe it was Roy who pointed out that they had a guy (Tim Donaghy) fixing and effecting games for multiple seasons and no one noticed.

That speaks volumes.

James has one of the lowest fouls-per-48 minute rates in the league for guys that play heavy minutes. The only other guys in the neighborhood are Derrick Rose and Tayshaun Prince, and LeBron is considerably more physical than both of those guys.
