Who is this god awful play by play guy doing the Orlando-Atlanta game with Kevin McHale on TNT? I can't watch this if he is going to be this awful calling the game.

Wow, this game actually started on time ... missed half of the first quarter.

I wish they were more consistent about the start times. Either start at 8pm every time or 8.10pm every time.

I think it's the Raptors guy. BTW, should we be rooting for the Magic here? ;)

Anyone else hoping that despite the fact that Atlanta is the lower seed, that Orlando ultimately wins?  I feel we can take Orlando easier than Atlanta.

Matt Devlin -- Atrocious announcer. How does he still have a job?

Yeah ... I'd rather see Orlando than Atlanta ... the Hawks have always had our number for some reason.

No, I think Atlanta is the easier opposition for the Celtics. They are the team I would want to face.

And that Orlando is the tougher opponent for the Cavs.

Agreed, Orlando is the better team and tougher match up for the Celtics.

At least we beat the Magic once this year (shooting .465) ... with Atlanta we're 0 and 4 and shot .413.

Ryan Anderson is a major matchup advantage for the Magic here.

The Hawks have nobody that can guard him with Josh Smith on the bench.

Anderson should get or help others get a bunch of good looks from the perimeter here.

I think either team will be an easier matchup than the Cavs. If we can beat the Cavaliers, I'm not too worried about being able to beat anyone else.

I'll go along with that (TP) ... when we beat the Cavs, (notice I didn't say "if"), the main worry I'll have is a bout of over-confidence ... it could bite us in the first game.

This guy Devlin is like fingernails on a chalkboard. The entire broadcast is rather substandard for TNT's usual telecasts. That whole bit to start the game where McHale talked through some cheesy stats and graphics was not good at all. Add Devlin's squeaky excited voice and hesitations like he doesn't know which pre-rehearsed and written down line to use to describe an exciting moment is horrible.

Makes me wish I was listening to Mark Jackson the whole night. **Shudders**

The Hawks took Joe Smith out of the game and put Marvin Williams on Anderson.

The Hawks normally do not play all that well with Marvin at the four. Good opportunity for the Magic to win the battle in the paint + in particular, the backboards ... when Marvin is in the game. Not shot-blocking outside of Horford, good opportunity for players to finish in the paint.

Edit: Nevermind, Josh Smith is back in. Good matchup for the Magic throughout the series though.
