2010 NBA Playoffs

Is anyone else super-excited for tomorrow's double-header? Not only do we get the C's but Spurs-Suns game one. I can hardly wait.

I am. I'm planning to watch the double header in reverse since I can't watch C's live sadly but I should be able to catch most of the Spurs game. I really like the old school feel postseason the Spurs are having first the Mavs then the Suns and most likely the Lakers. Hopefully they'll manage to make it out of the West just like old times.

The Spurs need more out of Manu Ginobili and Tony Parker.

They have to dominate the series via pick and rolls with their scoring ability and playmaking ability.

Parker and Ginobili are the creators offensively.

I like the Spurs to win.

I think the bigs and the role players will negate one another for the most part ... but I also think the Spurs duo of Manu Ginobili (scorer/creator) + Tony Parker (scorer/creator) will give San Antonio more offensive versatility than the Suns have with Steve Nash (scorer/creator) + Jason Richardson (scorer). I think that offensive threat, more dynamic, will win San Antonio the series.

Phoenix have been impressive in the first half though.

Not used to seeing Phoenix post up Jason Richardson ... during the regular season they normally refused to post him up when he had a mismatch.

I love Richardson's post game. Very effective post player.

I'm always amazed that Jason Richardson isn't a better player than he is, he seems like he has all the tools.

Excellent start to the third quarter for the Spurs.

A thirteen point turnaround in the first five minutes of the third.

Manu Ginobili has to dominate the ball when he is out on the court without Tony Parker.

George Hill isn't creative enough to flourish in this type of environment. He isn't a playmaker ... he is a guy that plays off of others.

A 6-7 center alongside a 6-5 two guard masquerading as a power forward in combination with a small backcourt? Ugh ...

This is going to put the Spurs in a big hole either on the scoreboard or on the clock (letting Phoenix maintain their lead with precious fourth quarter minutes ticking away).

11-0 run from the seven minute mark to the four minute mark to bring San Antonio right back into this game.

The Spurs badly need a young James Posey type. A big wing with plus rebounding skills who can shoot the ball. It would them a lot more effective in these small ball situations.

It seems no 10+ pt lead is safe in the 4th quarter of the NBA playoffs. Doesn't matter which team. Makes me feel better about the C's honestly. Every team has done it, too. No one above the pack.

Excellent win for the Suns. They deserved the game.
